  1. It's December 3rd. Calm down. Also, you wanna talk about rationalization? That's what you're doing when asking the Sox to give Cano an albatross contract because you're all mad that the Yanks signed Ellsbury.
  2. Yeah, the fact that they're sure to field a 160+ payroll next year and the fact that it's December 3rd are certainly indicative of penny-pinching tactics.
  3. Current NYY rotation: Sabathia Nova Phelps Pineda Warren/Nuno I am trembling in fear.
  4. No he isn't.
  5. Wow. Calm the f*** down. This is the same type of s*** you were talking last year right around this time.
  6. I don't get it, because it's stupid. Also, i don't want to stop your ass no.
  7. Jacoby_Ellsbury needs a new handle.
  8. Holy s*** don't you see how stupid the contract the Yankees just gave Ellsbury is? Giving Cano 200 million would actually be stupider.
  9. What does this even mean? You were all for staying the course and continuing the strategy that just won the Red Sox a WS championship. Please stop.
  10. Yeah this is exactly what you said last season, and the Red Sox won a World Series by doing exactly the opposite of what your plan was. Let's hope that trend continues and we have a deep playoff run next season as well. Hold the ship steady Ben.
  11. Yeah! f*** them and the 170+ million dollar team they'll field next year after winning a championship! f***in' cheap ass cheapsters!
  12. For 21 million per annum? http://weknowgifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/50-cent-driving-gif.gif
  13. Fiscal restraint!!!11!!!!
  14. If they're offering more than Crawford money, they clearly haven't learned their lesson regarding unrestrained FA spending.
  15. It's supposed to be bigger than Crawford's contract. HOLY s***
  16. Also, Pierzynski (a natural LHB) had a higher OPS against lefties than Salty (a switch-hitter) last season.
  17. Who the f*** cares about OPS when the new catcher can actually call a game and throw a runner out?
  18. Yeah but AA ain't MLB.
  19. I know this one! Sign a relief pitcher!
  20. I'd agree if the Rays didn't have to absorb the shitfest that is known as Heath Bell and a significant amount of money from his contract. Don't get me wrong, i like Hanigan, but Bell? Ewwww.
  21. You do know finding a veteran catcher to have a timeshare with Vasquez for 2015 is not difficult at all, right mark?
  22. Yeah, actually. I haven't dared mention it though, lest the wrath of Fred (who wasn't exactly high on Napoli after the hip condition became public, let it be known) make lightning strike me where i stand. The main difference, however, is that Napoli is an extremely patient hitter, and there's some precedent to massive BABIP fluctuations with "three-true-outcome" guys without affecting their final line too much. A regression in BABIP (and therefore BA) with an increase in power output and walk% is not only possible, but somewhat likely.
  23. Why would he be able to overcome the burden (father time) that so many other ballplayers haven't been able to beat? (Unless he's on roids).
  24. His ex-teammates in CWS speak wonders of him, and he won a sportsmanship award in Texas. Other than SF, he has been well regarded by his teammates.
  25. The fact that it's a contractual agreement. It happens between two interested parties. The Sox can't just wave a magic wand that'll force him to sign a contract they feel comfortable with.
