  1. These games start at the perfect time. Get off work at 2:30, go home and play with the baby, baseball at 4:10, watch the game during dinner, and the game is over at around 7. Then it's cool enough to jump in the pool for awhile before bed.
  2. He hurt it while hustling to 2nd before the ball went out. He probably thought it was a 2B off the bat and wanted to get into 3rd.
  3. Sweet, 2 shortstops. Gonzo better do some serious stretching over there at first.
  4. So is Punto DH'ing tonight?
  5. I just realized that he's over 9 BB/9... 1.5 WHIP is pretty sad, but 3.7 H/9 is fantastic. Control takes time to get back, but the K/9 and H/9 numbers look very promising
  6. Soxprospects.com shows him as having 1 option remaining. It shows he was optioned in both '10 and '11, but I can't find (nor do I remember) anything that shows him being called up last year either. http://soxprospects.com/players/nava-daniel.htm
  7. Mark Prior has pitched 12.1 innings. He's got 25 K against 13 BB, and has only allowed 5 hits. Like a700 said, he's striking out a ton of hitters, and he's also dominating RHH's. If he can stay healthy (huge if), then he could definitely help the bullpen.
  8. "This (expletive) team is cursed," Ortiz said after Boston's 5-1 win over the Chicago White Sox.
  9. Lavarnway can come up now and run Ortiz out of town.
  10. Gonzo!! I knew you had one in you!
  11. Well Salty didn't strikeout..
  12. Yeah, but Nava will end up in the HoF according to some posters here.
  13. Even with the power outage, Gonzo should almost never hit lower than 4th. Our best hitters are Ellsbury, Ortiz, Pedroia, Gonzo, and Crawford. Those 5 should always be at the top with Pedroia batting 3rd to break up the lefties. Ellsbury Crawford Pedroia Gonzo Ortiz Middlebrooks Salty Ross Aviles/Iglesias/Ciriaco
  14. Ortiz isn't gonna get s*** to swing at
  15. Buchholz should've stayed in
  16. ********. He moved into the pitch
  17. That would be a smart move, it'll never happen
  18. Ciriaco, bases clearing 2B down the LF line..... And Go!
  19. Price is making us look foolish Edit: WMBBBBB!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Anyone have Pedro's BABIP so far this year? It must be ridiculously high
