I think Stanton is the only player on the Marlins that is untouchable. He's under team control for 4 more years, and is one of the best players in the league already. However, if he is available, I say give up everything for him. At Fenway, he end up with 500+ HR, easily.

I would've said Miguel Montero, but the DBacks locked him up long term. I can't remember who I read, but Jose Molina and Russell Martin are 2 of the best catchers in terms of cERA and runs saved. Baseballprospectus.com has a good article on it.

Those 2, and you know the Rangers are gonna go huge here soon. We need to make some big deals, whether its to make a postseason run or give up on the year. I'm cool either way, I just don't want us to walk away from 2012 having done nothing.

I guess the only good thing for the Sox heading into this series is Josh Hamilton can't find his stroke. Unfortunately, they have 5 other guys that can hit 30 HR.

Trade CC for Hanley and we *might* be able to re-sign Ellsbury. I think that alone would make the trade worth it.

Get rid of Beckett, I think it'll send a message to Lester. Get rid of him for $0.25 on the dollar if you must, just do it.

I recently read an interview with Jon Lester and it made me see him in a new light. I thought he was a primadonna cut from the same mold as Josh Beckett. I think Beckett is the cancer now, without doubt. Move him and our problems go away (hopefully). It's a really good read, and I suggest you all take a look at it. We're not going to go undefeated the rest of the way. I fully expect to lose every game our #5 (good old Becks) starts. Win 75% of the other games equates to .600 the rest of the way. That should be enough to get a WC. -
