  1. Nunez may be that veteran player we needed. As good as the killer bees can be, they might have been too use to having big Papi to protect them. Some players can't handle being the team leader and put too much pressure on themselves.. Others thrive in that situation.. Just saying..
  2. If Farrell put Nunez at short tonight, how could he put Bogey back.... Maybe Bogey needs to get pushed a little to get him going..
  3. You got me....lol
  4. Please. Nunez new blood is showing them how to win. He's a huge start. Still, need the big guy.. Bogey needs to either wake up or sit for a while.
  5. Huh. He came up for 1/2 the year in 2015 and popped 13 homers at 25 years old. His first full year he hit 16 and agree tired in the second half, but still just 26 and showing progression. Now he's blossemed at 27 years old. He has 24 homers and 74 RBI's. What is a up and comer in your opinion. A big talent evaluation screw up. You don't trade a guy like this for a relief pitcher unless you are going for an elite closer and need him to make the playoffs. We don't have a guy close to 24 homers right now. I was pissed when we traded him so I'm not just jumping on the band wagon. He was a big kid 230 pounds and just the kind of player we need right now. How much would it cost to get him back now. Too much. A big screw up..
  6. Bogey really has his head up his ass this year.
  7. Its all about talent evaluation. You don't trade a young up and comer who can hit for power for a relief pitcher. Remember Bagwell for Larry Anderson. Not saying Shaw is a Bagwell, but that along with rolling the dice for Panda giving him a free pass to the 3b position by trading Shaw. DD has to be held Accountable for that stupid move. And when you lose a guy like Papi, and have a chance to sign EE a guy made for this park and wants to come here.. WTF. We just let Panda walk with 50 million, so if some of us have a problem with talent evaluation and stupid decisions, excuse me. As for Sale, that was a no brainer. You gave up the number one prospect to get one of the best starters in baseball. Have to do it if your trying to win a world series. We are still that power bat away from a serious run.
  8. The bats come alive tonite boys. You heard it hear.
  9. We got the chips to fix it, just need the balls to do it....
  10. DD screwed up not getting a decent replacement for Papi, compounded by the Shaw deal. Not good. Just look at that 3 run homer by Mousakas last night. Huge. It's hard for us sox fans to adjust to watching a team morph into a singles and doubles team when we have been used to the fireworks over the years. You have to be well balanced. Our pitching and defense are real good, but the offense has been like watching paint dry too many times this year. Just my opinion but if we didn't do the Shaw trade and signed EE, we would have things well in hand right now. Just frustrating watching good pitched games get waisted.
  11. I just hope we can get someone to step in. Like Bellhorn said, unless the rest of the boys start hitting, probably screwed either way. We just need that spark.
  12. I agree with that.. So much talent. If they were just being consistent we wouldn't be in this pinch. It's always something....
  13. Trading Shaw was the dumbest f.... move this team could have ever made. He had a tough second half is the excuse.. ********.. It was to give Panda no pressure. How's that working out. Player evaluation at this stage of the game is everything. They f.... up with Shaw..Badly
  14. I would have included Groome in a heart beat. No way to know what he will turn into, and Mous. is the vet power bat we desperately need right now. Look at the Pom for Espinosa trade, the 18 year old (the next Pedro) will be getting Tommy John surgery which sucks. Point if you think obtaining a vet hitter will help turn the offense around for a playoff push, you have to do it. If not stand pat. I don't for one over valuate minor league players based on potential. When they get closer to the show and have some track record, thats different... And I'm not talking about trading Bagwell for Larry Anderson Either. With the pitching staff we have, it would be a shame to bow out fast this year because of the hitting, but unless we catch fire, its looking like these guys will do just that. I hope not.. The Yanks see a glimmer of hope and are pulling out all the stops to make a run this year. Right now, they just took first from us because we can't hit. Whats your answer.................
  15. So just to prove how this game can change, Espinosa is having Tommy John surgery and Pom has settled into the rotation very nicely. The kid is still a teenager and hopefully he comes back strong. This is why if we have to include a player like Groome (Not that I want to) in a package to get that power bat we need, we have to do it. This line up needs a jolt, but if management wants to stand pat and give the kids another year to mature, well then do it. We all are right now in wonder how the killer bees sting and kill then go dormant. Bogey to me is a real disappointment but much has to do with injuries.
  16. We should have went hard after Mousakas while the Royals were down. Now, no way they will let him go.
  17. Young first pitch swinging.. WTF Farrell.
  18. This team needs a shake up. A reflection of the manager. Too many games they are just not that exciting to watch.
  19. Moustakas is exactly what we are f.. missing in our line up.
  20. Nope, like I said for the right deal.. There are a few players I would trade him in a minute for. Just a few.
  21. Bogey has to get out of his funk. So far, no fire power. Thanks Obrien for reminding us that our offense is like a National League team. He might be next to get it on the plane, he just threw everyone under the bus...lol.
  22. Outside of Sale, no one on this team is un tradable for the right deal.
  23. I posted last week that we should move him before he goes down. I knew this was coming, and nothing would surprise me. I believe he is really hurt, but not 100% in on it. Like I said before, it's not going to end good for him in Boston..
