Stanton is one of those players that comes along very rarely. If you have a chance to get him and can afford it you do it. He can Dh later on if need be. He has more homers than Bogey, Moreland and Hanley combined. I would trade for him, but no Devers. I would trade Bogey if I could slip in a slick fielding ss in our lineup, but not Marrarro. Nice to dream..

With Devers at 3b, we really don't have much to bitch about. We could upgrade 1b/dh with a guy with more power and maybe another starter but overall were in pretty good shape unless the injury bug hits us. I know its a touchy subject, but I really don't miss Pedroia in the line up. No doubt he has a great glove, but Nunez hits, runs, and so far to me is a piece we were really missing on this team.

The Judge is in a funk, as all players sooner or later will experience. It's part of the growing process. Devers no doubt is the real deal. Been a while since we had a kid with a swing like his and at such a young age.

Would have liked to have seen Brentz get called up instead of Scott again. The Brass can let guys like Holt, Scott, etc do what they do, but not to give a guy Like Brentz a look is a mistake. Maybe this year is a fluke, but maybe it isn't. I'm not a great Brentz fan, but I can't ignore his power numbers.

Is the Judge hitting himself out of the American League MVP award. If he continues on this pace maybe Benny catches him for Rook of the year. I really thing The Judge will finish up the season on a good note, but you never know. He will really have to tank I would think to lose Rookie of the year with the homers he has already put up. Something to watch..

I'll give him one mulligan for last night, after that he is not coming in like that. We've seen some of these lights out closers in the past we traded for suck for a while until they settled in. We don't have time to let this guy settle in with games on the line. That was pathetic. Chap gave it right back to us and we couldn't take him out. Total melt down.
