Yea I have had about all of the Iggy for Peavey "its a bad deal" talk I can take. If you come to terms with the fact that the Sox were always going to struggle with whether Iggy was a fit here or not, then it boils down to getting the best deal you can for him. There is just no way anybody would have thought you could get a front line pitcher for a guy that has yet to really prove himself as a ML SS. It is not like he has the potential to rip the cover off the ball. He has the potential to be a terrific defensive SS with a "tolerable" bat....thats it! I mean I love the kid and I could not muster up more enthusiasm than that for seeing Iggy in a Sox uni for a career. So not meaning to be malicious to Iggy, I was still happy to see him botch that play.
