    If I had to guess it is because Cora is tired of seeing Nunny barely able to keep his feet at 2nd base. He can't even stand at the position. Either his knee is still a problem or he has finally aged enough that his natural worst position in the field is now a position he simply cannot play except on an emergency basis.

    Thank God X is back. With X at least we are not terrible in the infield. When both Pedey and X are out at the same time, we are ambulatory.

    Fielders seem to be dodging more broken lumber this year than I remember for so few games played.

    Actually Vaz could not really make an effort to control the throw. An actual effort to just catch the ball naturally would likely have resulted in Perez just flat beating the throw. Vaz gambled and lost. But had he not gambled, he would have lost anyway. It was still a nice throw from JD. Still does not change the obvious deficiencies JD has in the OF.

    Yup....Apparently, MLBPA could not even make a decent collusion case out of this past off season. That's how tilted this current CBA appears to be.

    It is a little disappointing that he is ignoring pitches that are right in the LH power hitter honey spot to swing at that stuff headed for the press box.

    If the Sox get it into their heads that E-rod is truly regressing he will be in a lotta' trouble quickly. What are they gonna' do, bring him into regular relief situations and just watch him walk the opponents around the bases? E-Rod would turn into a garbage time pitcher.

    We have seen a lotta' 2 seam FB's this year that just keep driving into the RH hitter's body and a lotta' sliders that are just rolling up to Home Plate haplessly. Not sure why. I do know I have blamed a good deal on this fascination with power pitching. Maybe thats it.

    These starters are really going to put the pen in a box if this keeps up....Gonna' put them in a coffin for that matter.

    3 walks and 2 HB's in 3 2/3 innings. You could get a minor league team to do pretty well giving away that many bases.

    We should get a scooter for JD out there. He might be able to get to a ball bounding around sometime this week.
