If you had told me Pom would have gotten through 4 innings against this team in this park giving up only 2 runs I would not have believed it. When a pitcher knows he can't throw a four seam for a strike because it is that weak a pitch, he is defenseless. Heck of a job so far by Pom.

What Pom is doing is pretty remarking when you consider he is almost defenseless out there

This is not going to last much longer if Pom can only show the FB. He is going to end up throwing too many curves and hang one. Not sure how many cutters he can get by with either.

Then again now that we know the numbness in Price's skull has worked its way down to his throwing hand, maybe management has no choice with Pom

I would not be questioning Pom's guts. i would be questioning management's sanity though

Pom looks to be trying to stay out there but I honestly don't know why Cora is letting him unless he is just hoping that we get through this at less than double digit runs against

Christian Vazquez ® C Nobody had put up the lineup yet. So I thought I would. While I really have always liked JBJ, this looks like a slug-fest game to me unless suddenly Pom grows an arm. JBJ seems even more lost than usual at present. Where is Moreland the way he is hitting?

What is wrong with this Rangers team. They don't know where the batted ball is going and don't know what to do with it when they get it. I doubt Bannister can survive this sort of play.

Gotta give both Profar and Kelly credit here. Kelly is throwing everything under the sun. Finally nails him. Great AB, great great job by Kelly to throw so many different pitches without just doinking one up there for the walked in run.

I don't know how this can be. But even with all the good Mookie does on the base paths we must be the dumbest base running team in MLB. How do you not wait to see if that gets past the pitchers mound. Where was Moreland going? Its not like he was going home. 3rd was as good as that was ever going to get.

Bloop and a blast ties it. Still in this. But somebody as to come in for the next inning and I honestly don't know what they do with eddie at this point. Forcing him to just throw and stop trying to manage the game might make some sense because what he wants to throw is not what he can locate. Don't care what he wants to throw. If he can't throw past hitters, and he can't, he needs a different plan.

And if eddie can't make it as a starter what are they going to do with him. Would you want THAT coming in late in a game?

And that is too much plate for that pitch. Inside a couple inches and the hitter can't even keep that fair. But that is the LH power hitter honey hole. You just can't leave it there. Thats twice tonight.

Porcello can pitch just above the letters. Even Pom when healthy can pitch just above the letters. Price when right can and certainly Sale can. Eddie can't. Not more complicated than that. He really has to get the hitter chasing or he is toast up there. That also means he has to change the hitters sight line to the ball by throwing at the guys knees. I am not sure how much of a career eddie can have because he has to be just about perfect to get anything done.
