  1. This is ridiculous.
  2. Pom is throwing wrong and living right.
  3. Got a RH hitter out. I know I'm excited!
  4. Has Pom gotten a RH hitter out yet?
  5. I seriously do not know what they are doing with Pom. If he is rehabing, why is he doing it here? Why would we not expect him to give up runs every inning pitching like this. If he is not rehabing, I don't know what to say about that.
  6. Remy trying to make the case for that pitch from Pom. That was not a good pitch to a RH hitter. That took nothing to whack into RF over Mookies head. I would consider that a terrible pitch.
  7. If you mean Beni's throw in from Left, Beni did all he could do with that IMO. Did well to keep the run from scoring.
  8. Atta boy Pom. Just keep pumping that garbage up there.
  9. That is what I tried to convince myself of last year. "All these extra inning games are really preparing us for the post season". That rationalization fell apart in a hurry.
  10. Geez Hanley...you couldn't even tease us?
  11. You know what would have happened if we tried to bunt there. We would have bunted into a play that would have ended the inning regardless of how many outs were remaining.
  12. Oh my God. Not a good pitch to bunt and the guy gets a perfect bunt hit out of it. Could have had his eyes completely closed.
  13. If the hitter got an extra base out of Beni kicking the ball around out there I think I would have lost my mind. We have played some strange baseball lately. Bad on occasion but often really strange.
  14. When it goes bad for Vaz it really goes bad. Didn't he take that pitch right off the nuts?
  15. Extra innings is where looking to hit the ball out is like a disease for most of these hitters. You have gotten past the pitchers that the opponent had planned on using. You have gotten past the opponent's closer most likely. You are facing pitchers that you could rally against and push a run across and everybody swings for the fences for about 7 extra innings making out after out.
  16. This team has played some F-ed up games lately. The 4:00PM game against the Rays. This game they seem to have their heads entirely stuck up their butts. That was just oblivious on the part of Vaz.
  17. A little disturbing that the Gordon pitch had just nothing...I mean nothing. Kimbrel would have done as well to have just tossed it over the bullpen himself.
  18. Kimbrel is not going to get much done against ML hitters with the pitch he threw Gordon. That thing had hit me written all over it. Point is, I don't think a team can come to the plate in the 9th against Kimbrel thinking they are likely to get enough pitches to hit to drop in a few hits or a walk and a couple hits and squeeze a run across the plate.
  19. Not making excuses for him. But no team comes to the plate in the 9th inning expecting to rally against Kimbrel. So if it were me and I had any kind of power at all I would just look for something I could crush in a 1 run game and hope for the best. I would ignore everything but a pitch I could take out of the park and that would be the only pitch I was looking for.
  20. Well that was certainly tagged. Over the pen is a looooooong way here.
  21. Man I have never seen so much broken lumber headed for fielders as I have in so few games this year
  22. Might be the first time Cora has made a defensive change to make his OF defense more stout for the 9th
  23. I bet that if we had some digitized representation of the currents down there in that left field corner we would find that windless night, wind torn night, whatever, the structure of the LF grandstands meeting the monster always causes the ball hit in the air to come back toward the field as opposed to toward the grandstands.
  24. Wow that was a tough play to make for Gordon
  25. On camera it looked like JBJ broke wrong and then tossed in a second of doubt for good measure almost like he could not believe it either.
