  1. It has been obvious how to pitch to the Sox since the Maneae game in Oakland and it just took time for the rest of the league to catch on. You throw our LH hitters change ups and cutters and our RH hitters sliders and two seams. DO NOT throw FB's for strikes to any of them. Show FB only. Only throw it for a strike if forced to it. Do that and they are DEAD. Does not matter if its 1-4 or 5-9 in the order, they are dead. JD is the only hitter we have that can hit at all against that sequence consistently. Mookie, not as much. The rest of them not at all really. They have to be fed FB's to be an offensive force. They hit like an NL team that happens to have a DH. Anybody that thinks the power outage this team has suffered is some accident is smoking something.
  2. Sale can pitch in Yankee stadium if he is sound. Price....No. Eddy...maybe...depends on who is catching. Sounds strange but it true. Pom does not even make the post season team but he would be a no.
  3. In our building I am OK playing this team. In there building...not so much...in fact not at all. That still does not solve the problem that is overarching. The rest of the league has learned how to pitch to us in general which goes beyond the obvious problems presented by Yankee stadium. That bothers me even more. This mess here angers me because its these GD pin stripes for one and for another, Cora did not find a way to keep Price out of this series. Its three games!!!!! Finally I swear to God if there is a way to lock the God Damn bullpen door, we better find a way to do it.
  4. I don't want any part of this building post season. Send Houston here. I am sure they would love a return visit.
  5. OB, optimistic as always. "just have to win one game here". Yea OK OB
  6. Lets face it...a goodly part of the country is just a few baskets short of a full picnic at present. I promise not to make such a comment in a game thread again. But it is what it is.
  7. And this is what happens when eventually the pitcher has you by the nuts. You are mesmerized at the plate. Let a good pitcher get rolling and you are DONE which is why pitching rules this game.
  8. We have no idea what Sevarino is doing to us. I want this team to look at video of this game. You can't grove your hitters for an opponent park especially this one. But you can at least understand what the f*** their pitcher is trying to do to you. We are helpless because we are clueless and its not hard to see what Sevarino is doing! At least give yourself a chance for God sake
  9. Nice pitch Joe you turkey. I can't wait for him to be OFF the post season roster. Go...somewhere...you and Pom and Hembree and Scott and Thorny
  10. I hate getting shellacked in this place. But I understand it at least from the hitters perspective. You can't grove your hitters for a park they play in 19 times a season. You have to grove them for the park where you play 81 if you are going to grove them for anywhere. But its the pitchers that have to do much better in this place and Price.........FORGET HIM in this building.
  11. See where Judge's body position was on that 0-0 swing. If that went to RF it would have been an accident of pitch location. Even with a pitch outside, that was an honest RH hitter swing.
  12. Agreed...he is a really good oppo hitter to begin with. Slight adjustment and he is a monster in this place.
  13. Well there is another element to that post ASB thing. Didn't I say that the pitchers around the league had learned how to pitch to us. You have made close to if not the same comment.
  14. Our hitters have to learn to hit in this park and our pitchers have to learn to pitch in it. Even JD has got to trade those nice looking base hits for HR's. He is in the middle of our order for God sake.
  15. Of course the kid knew it was gone you dingalings in our broadcast booth...HE WAS AIMING FOR IT.
  16. Have I made my point YET. Any arguments????
  17. Not there David..for God sake not there!
  18. Price smartening up at least a little. Would not throw Sanchez a pitch anywhere near the outer half. He was WAYYYYYY outside to Sanchez
  19. Even in old Yankee stadium pitchers who knew how to pitch there and here, kept the fly balls from LCF to RCF for obvious reasons.
  20. Our guys are getting frustrated now. They can't figure out what is happening to them.
  21. Savarino's got X's number. He can just pitch X anywhere he wants to. X is totally flummoxed by this guy.
  22. Not confident in us playing in this park. If their pitchers are always going to pitch to the characteristics of this park and our pitchers are learning their lessons the hard way...that is not a great combination.
  23. Muscling it out to RH and doinking it to RF are not quite the same things. The absolute all time classic RH hitter doink swing here for HR is Frazier's HR off of Morton.
  24. As much as I get on Lurch for being Lurch (Judge) he is the only RH hitter in the Yankee lineup I have never seen just aim to doink the ball over that RF fence. He does approach his AB's as a straight up RH hitter every AB.
  25. Given Prices history here and these 4 innings I am not resoundingly confident. Though I think you get that impression already.
