    Was wondering the exact same thing. However overall this team is just inconsistent. When our pitching is on our offence is nowhere to be found. Unfortunately today Clay looks off. Another day in paradise for the Red Sox.

    Just happy we got the win. Offence was ineffective tonight again but Lester had a good performance. Needed that win! Can go to bed happy tonight.

    It was a bit concerning but I thought over all Clay looked good and comfortable out there. We haven't had an answer for Seattle in this series. Clay have us a decent chance to win.

    Ugh this inning is way more intense then it has to be. Boston doesn't make things easy that's for sure.

    Incredible win. Lackey was fantastic today. Hopefully this gives us some confidence. Oakland is going to be a tough series. The offence still worries me a bit, but if we keep pitching like this we should be able to get a good streak going.

    At this point it's so hard to tell. The sox signify starting slow, but this is absurd. With the season we had last year this is truely dissapointing. I hope we can turn things around but we look really bad.

    Lol agreed. Never pleasant playing Toronto, they are a tough opponent. Ugly win, but with a couple wins under they're belt it gives all sorts of confidence. Pretty good game from Clay today. Lets keep it going!

    Pitching seems to go out the window whenever we play Texas. Comes down to offence which we usually don't win against them.

    Yes he looked good as did our offence. It's to bad Doubront crapped his pants tonight. Could have been a very winnable game. Inconsistency is the Sox moto at the beginning of the season though. Not to worried about it. Texas is never a pleasant series.

    Personally I would t have mind seeing Middlebrooks hang around. He had a good 2012 followed by a down season, but I think it's to quick to tell how good or bad he can be.

    What an unreal win!!!! I was at a wedding all night so I missed most of the game you could imagine my reaction when I saw the game was tied at5 after being down 5 zip. I really do think this series will go 7 games. I knew Detroit would be no easy task but one stp at a time. The series tied at 1 a piece is a hell of a lot better the. Being down 2 0. So proud of this organization!!!

    Very convincing win! Unfortunately I had to work through it. What a great feeling. Been a while since I've celebrated a victory in the playoffs.

    I really think we just need to wait and see what happens. I don't know if they are as good as their record indicates, but they have beaten every team numerous times this year. There really isn't a team that frightens me that much. However with that being said if they did somehow lose in the first round I can't say I would be super upset as I already call this season a success and exceeded my expectations. Lets just wait and see

    Just started watching the game! Looks like Clay had a solid game. I figured he probably wouldn't play last five or six innings, but glad to see he played a solid 5. Give the man some confidence his first game back.
