    I do have a good friend that was raised in MA. He lives near Baltimore now. He said he enjoys watching the Sox play there. I considered flying there, but if I did that I might as well just make my pilgrimage to Fenway. Either way not in the budget just yet.

    I guess I should have also asked- have you ever been to an Angels game and if so how was your experience?

    So if you could go watch the sox play any regular season road game next year- where would it be? Tell us why- the city, stadium, a rivalry, a certain player? I'm probably going to see them play at Anaheim, primarily because it is by far the cheapest way for me to see them. Went to see them in Minneapolis last year and had a good time.

    He certainly seems passionate about his new job. I've got to think players feel good with his comments about how he needs to make efforts to become part of their team- to fond ways to help them. A couple good moves at the winter meetings and I am feeling real good about next season.

    I found the interview on WEEI with former Mets GM talking about Valentine interesting. Gives me hope this was a good move v

    I like it. Now they should be free to get a good pitching coach and another good pitcher or two. Let's move on.

    In BC's defense when he said he wanted a manager by Thanksgiving he did not indicate of what year.

    I am really disappointed they could not pull the trigger on a manager by Thanksgiving. Sad.

    And for me I don't even have a problem with how much rope BC is on. I think ownership can run things with the GM having total control, or with the GM ad a puppet on a short leash. Either one can probably be done successfully. What bothers me is the appearance that they were not on the same page and undecided as to what model they are going to use.

    If it looked bad Sveum ended up in Chicago, I think it will look even worse if they do not hire Valentine at this point. At some point players, managers and coaches will feel like things are to much of a mess I Boston to want to come or stay there.

    At first I was upset- thinking Ells was clearly the MVP. But then I was thinking how can you ultimately determine the value of a player? If the market is an indication I thought about a trade. If a straight up trade of Ells. for Vlander was on the table who would want it. I would think Boston would jump at it and Detroit would not consider it- and if I'm correct then the award we t to the right person.

    I have heard folks saying Bobby V. would be good for 4 or 5 years but not a long term solution. Aside from Terry Francona- seems like 5 years is pretty long term to manage n Boston isn't it?

    What was Aceves era as a reliever compared to his era as a starter? I hear lots of comments about moving him to the rotation. I think he is incredibly valuable and proven as an asset out of the bullpen. Seems like he lost lots of control after pitching for a while as a starter last year.

    I was told it was stupid, but last year I suggested when and if Lowries shoulder was healthy they should transition him to our right fielder. I still think that is a good idea, then have Aviles backing up Youk and Scut.

    Competing with Youk- or do you think Youk will be traded?

    What are your thoughts on Mike Aviles? I thought he played very hard when he had chances. Is he under contract with us? I think he will be very valuable as a guy on the bench that can fill in for different infield or outfield players, and he bats right which does not hurt with out left hitting heavy line up.

    Let's be honest, we can fix a few problems with one simple move- as a career DH Ortiz's is in good shape, it is clearly time to sign him and transition him into the pitching rotation.

    I might be interested, I don't care what the price is so much, I just need to know what the monthly payments would be.

    I'm confidant who ever designed the colorful Astro uniforms in the eighties is feeling like a little pressure has been taken off for ugliest uniform of all time. The logo on the hats look like something you would use if your target audience were care bear totin 8 year old girls.

    It's called an economy, yes people make a profit off of you, in turn they pay you a wage. If you are not satisfied with your wage- you are free to make yourself more valuable. The bottom line is you get paid for your knowledge, work ethic, and the amount of profit you can make someone. In fact anyone who wants to vilify people that make profits always remember you are 100% free to start your own company where you don't make profits off your employees. Let me know how long you provide jobs for those employees.
