  1. I have not heard.... where has Jerry Rem been?
  2. For me, because I want an ace to overcome a bad call, I want him to be a competitor that battles through an outfield error. Yes the error from Byrd hurt us.... but he just looks like crap since then. I feel very lucky they have not scored a bunch more the way they are hitting him.
  3. I'm done with Lester and Buch. Aside from any numbers argument... they just look like uncomfortable, nervous, sensitive, head cases.
  4. Lester..... Dubront is closer to an ace than you this year.
  5. Maybe I will drink every time I hear ''cheese''. And nice hit Gonzo......and many more to come.
  6. Dennis, enough cheese references
  7. I've been getting home from work around the second inning.... boy these games are getting tough to turn on.
  8. Aviles see,s to be headed back to earth.
  9. I picked him up yesterday....... he is on my bench:(
  10. sweeny hitting great and Ross has a flair for the clutch. Do not know why either are ever benched.
  11. That and the bull pen was extremely over worked against Oakland.
  12. Good for you. We toyed with the idea of driving to KC to catch a Sox game.
  13. Sweet strike three pitch
  14. I said earlier you were probably closer on Crawford than I was as you are looking at his entire history. So I am not sure why you would also predict Dice K. will some how average 6 innings. I do not see anything in his numbers the past few years that indicate he is that good of a pitcher. I am not real knowledgeable about baseball so do not think I am trying to argue. Wondering if there is something that leavs you to feel upbeat about with him. If my math is correct over the last three years he has averaged under five innings per start.
  15. I really like this guy but way to many chances to hit clutch pass by him.
  16. I guess its what you are emotionally invested. If I gave a ratts ass about stadium sell outs I might be upset. Nothing wrong if you are, just not part of what I follow or care about with the Sox. On the plus side, if they win games- it fixes both the selling out issue and the loosing games issue.
  17. In all fairness I am being emotional with my lack of faith in Crawford contributing to this team. By the numbers you are probably making more sense. I have not seen many games this year where one defensive outfield play cost us that much. I will however always remember Crawford dropping the pop fly at the end of last season. Its not just that he had a bad year..... Its that I remember that deer in the headlight look durring his at bats, I remember his awful hacks like he was not at all comfortable. Given his best years were with a club that had low expectation and over performed.......I worry how things will continue in a high pressure, high expectation and under performing club in the midst of changes, drama, and recovering from an injury. I will say by common sense your view makes me sense. I am admittingly being more of an emotional fan that probably placed to much hope in Crawford and Gonzalez righting all the wrongs with past free agent signings and have been very let down. I hope you are right. From what the media presents I really like the type of person and player Crawford is. I guess its just 5 times bitten, six times shy with me.
  18. We've not been out of LAST PLACE all year! To be concerned about how tickets are counted is the equivalent to being in your house that's on fire and sitting down to argue with your spouse about whose turn it is to take out the garbage.
