    What is that? Isn't that sort of two sides to the same coin? Don't you think either teams offensive numbers, nine or one, has anything to do with the quality of pitcher they were facing?

    Wow, we realty see him differently I guess. I have really enjoyed his play this year.

    I really like Pedro Ciriaco at SS next year. Would be fun watching him and Iggy battle it out in spring training. Although I think Pedro had quite an edge as he has now proved he can hit MLB pitching.

    What is Melancons era since all star break? I voted for Bailey. My only real Valentine complaint was going with Aceves as the closer. Last year he pitched good numbers but always felt a little out of control. Just no room for error as a closer. I felt Padillia or Morales would have been better closer option.

    I think Aviles has great value as an infield platoon , substitute. He's not great, but decent. Much better than a Pun to. He can play any position, plays hard, and fairly cheap.

    Ells better get some tape on that ankle and tough it out even if its broke if he and his agent still have big free agent contract dreams.

    I know there does not appear to be any great free agent options as first basemen next year. Who do we have now that could be decent first baseman for a couple years? Ortiz? Aviles? Ross? Gomez?

    I have really liked Pods. He seems to have an extremely professional approach and work ethic. I think you want him on the roster as a good example to the young guys we will have for the next couple of years.

    Just read the weei blurbs. Guess he was pissed Bobby used the closer, Bailey, to close the game the other night instead of him. Tore off his Jersey, slammed Bobby's door later and demanded a meeting with Ben Cherrington. Apparently Cherrington told him he was to busy (working on LA deal) to meet with him.
