  1. Ellsbury has too much power to lead off. Aviles Pedroia Gonzalez Ortiz Ellsbury Youkills Crawford Salty Ross
  2. To bad I already have my own team loaded with stars... Roy Halladay, Verlander, Teixiera, Michael Young, the list goes on and on.
  3. 2010 was the year everyone was hurt.
  4. Worse comes to worse, he doesn't start on Opening Day at the Tigers. Will that really hurt the team?
  5. You're looking at a major New York NFL fan. Nice too meet you.
  6. Don't forget the Astros, Cubs, and Pirates.
  7. Definitely Pedroia. Gonzo hasn't been here long enough, Youk is hurt too much, although Lester could've won 20 games if hadn't been for September. Pedroia is the heart and soul of this team though.
  8. Is Cody Ross going to start in right? The team has a hole at Shortstop and their rotation is iffy at best except for Lester, Beckett, and Buchholz.
  9. Well, the Miami Marlins have a new name, new park, new manager and new stars like Jose Reyes , Mark Buerhle, and Heath Bell, to join Josh Johnson, Mike Stanton and Hanley Ramirez. Many think they are a contender this year in what is now a very good NL East. They are also the main story in this week's Sports Illustrated. What are your thoughts? I personally think they will get to at least the playoffs.
  10. This is a good system. Gives the Sox a chance this year with the Yankees/Rays and Angels/Rangers.
  11. Read a story in my local newspaper this morning about Sox pitcher Aaron Cook, who is only signed to a minor league contract. It talks about his blood clots in his lungs in 2004 with the Rockies and how he recovered to the point where he is fighting for a Red Sox rotation spot. He should replace Bard in the rotation. Anyway, great story.
  12. Ah, spring training. First two games are this Saturday against Northeastern and BC. That will be interesting. Here's my main highlight for the season: I have a date circled for June 16, Sox-Cubs@Wrigley. I'll be there. That's a 6:10 Chicago starting time on Fox on a Saturday night.
  13. This was quite sad news to me, because only he, Ellsbury, and Gonzalez played their hearts out in September.
  14. Him, yeah. Al-Farouq whatever? No.
  15. Found the right place, man. Here, we don't give up on Bobby V and Mark Melancon.
  16. Yep, for people nobody's ever heard of. This also shows that LA has two teams, even if one is a perennial loser. What's that other MLB team in Chicago called again?
  17. I got a team in an ESPN league... 10-4. QB's: Rodgers and Newton RB's: Shonn Greene, Marshawn Lynch, and LaGarrete Blount, who all have been good. WR's: Burress, Miles Austin, Johnny Knox, and Nate Washington, all of whom are underrated.
  18. Not a good time to join. Mid December, franchise in turmoil. Welcome to the place, though.
  19. Offensive Stats aren't the only part of it. Count Gold Gloves too. I voted Pujols. He's confident now that he signed a monster 10 year deal.
  20. Yeah only because they claim that pitchers need "adequate" time to warm up.
  21. I want Sox-Brewers too, but face the facts: Can the Brewers offense beat Halladay, Lee, and Hamels 4 out of 7 times? The way the Sox are playing now can the even make it that far? Will they have Beckett?
