  1. It's starting... Napoli now is a Sox killer.
  2. That's the best start they've had in years.
  3. Helps the Sox in the Wild Card if they win.
  4. On NESN, they are going to show an interview with the FO discussing Valentine at some point tonight.
  5. Ha, fans still cheer when Sox take the field.
  6. He expects the defense to be perfect since he's far from perfect.
  7. If Cook no hits them, I will run around my house naked and record it for all you guys to see. Just kidding.
  8. Great lineup, this actually gives them a chance.
  9. I thought the main rat was Beckett.
  10. Name says it all. Yu is pitching tonight, taking his 11-7, 4.38 record and ERA against Aaron Cook (2-5, 5.24). Not a good matchup for the Sox, but for the teams sake and for my mojo, all I can say is: WIN!!!!!!
  11. He has outstanding humility, kind of like Tim Duncan.
  12. Doesn't help that there's no one good in the bullpen. Scott Atchison is good, but he's on the DL.
  13. So, Todd Helton had season ending surgery to repair his torn labrum which leads many to believe that he is done forever. After all, he is 39 and was having his worst season of his career this season with a .238 average, 7 HR and 39 RBI in only 69 games. Ironically, he was a college teammate of Peyton Manning when Peyton was playing football at Tennessee. Now they are both in Denver. Anyway, will Todd Helton ever play again. I personally don't think there's a point. the Rockies are rebuilding and they don't need him.
  14. Get him to the Sox. We need a SS.
  15. Name any manager who pulls pitchers at the perfect time.
  16. They need depth at third. Punto can't do squat and there's no one else behind him. No one wants the Sox pitchers.
  17. This team would make a good reality show.
  18. It proves that the Sox are terrible.
  19. Let me guess, Verlander's going to no hit you?
  20. Well, just think. Tonight it's Yu Darvish against the inconsistent Aaron Cook. Then it's Dempster against Lester, and on Wednesday Matt Harrison against Beckett. You may be right.
  21. That would actually help the Red Sox. The Tigers are in first for the second wild card spot right now.
  22. Interesting how we're still trashing in a game thread on the day they won.
  23. My point was that they were blowing another lead in the ninth.
  24. Red Sox are stacked with outfielders even in the minors. Punto can't do anything and they don't have a quality back up until they reach AAA. seems like an okay deal to me.
