  1. I have my own two leagues. Aaron Rodgers is my QB in both.
  2. This is the Red Sox offense I know! Just like Saturday when I was there.
  3. An add on to the Stat of the Day: The Rangers have four players that have 20 or more HR's.
  4. Heard that was a great game! USF FTW! No, that's not my favorite team. LSU is shattering Oregon.
  5. Hey guys! I just got my power back from Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irene, and find myself at Fenway. Great game! I caught CC's grand slam ball(just kidding). I sat 15 rows directly behind Pesky's pole. In the 4th, Fenway was the loudest I have ever seen. Did Fox show the idiot who ran out on to the field? It was weird. Papi fouled off a ball, and in the area he hit it some guy slowly comes out onto the field. At first I thought it was some kind of bat/ball boy, then he started running and security guards chased after him. Papi was cracking up about the whole thing. The guy got trampled in front of the Sox bullpen. He ran from the Ranger dugout area to the bullpens.
  6. It takes skill to play 18 innings in conditions like that.
  7. One of the things they say to do when you're preparing for a hurricane is to keep in contact with a friend or family member from out-of-state.
  8. He would get shot at Girardi, Cashman, and Steinbrenner. A-Rod would force him to play poker with him.
  9. @BornToRun: Maybe you should shut up and watch the news.
  10. What do you think? The flu? What is this topic about? Alzheimer's is a sad disease without a cure.
  11. Well, as you may or may not know there's a hurricane traveling up the East coast, and will hit the land tomorrow in NC, and will travel through NC all the way through New England. It will affect Baltimore (NYY vs Bal), Philadelphia (Fla vs Phi), New York (Atl vs NYM), and then Boston as well as DC. There have been many options talked about including A's-Sox DH either tomorrow or Saturday. If they only play two games in the series, the two teams don't meet again and don't share an off day for the remainder of the season. Another threat is in place: Can 99-year-old Fenway take the storm?
  12. It's a sad disease without a cure.
  13. The 59 year old Summit was diagnosed with early onset dimentia, Alzheimer's type. She will continue to coach the Tennessee women's basketball team for her 38th year, and doesn't plan on retiring soon. She leads all of NCAA men or women with 1,071 wins and is only behind John Wooden for most national championships with 8.
  14. That was some finish in Detroit, poor Guardians got swept. I got family in Cleveland, and I've been to Progressive Field for a game(vs the Sox, Sox were 1-1), so they're my next favorite team.
  15. Welcome to Talksox! As you can see, we are very sophisticated.
  16. Finally a nice offensive showing, been about a week. The Sox are playing like it's 2010. Could be a good thing, could be a bad thing.
  17. Miller instead of Wake? Not the best plan in my mind. Miller is shaky but gets run support. At least Garcia's going for the Yanks in Minnesota.
  18. Could this kid be just what the Sox need? He's a great catcher being taught by Varitek, and he had a great season in Portland and Pawtucket. If he stays with the club he could help them down the stretch.
  19. Now that Gonzo's in a slump, no one on the team will. I'm thinking that it's probably going to be someone on the Yankees.
  20. Only half way through the day. Bedard and Niemann tonight.
  21. Sox signed 1st round pick Matt Barnes. Barnes is a great young pitcher from UConn.
  22. Let's go Jonny! 3 games in 24 hours!
  23. Welcome! I went to San Francisco and Oakland last August and saw the Padres beat the Giants and A's beat the Rays.
  24. There were closer pitches than that called balls. Truly they have problems. Who's MLB's highest ranked umpire?
