  1. I've never liked Cherington. I think I've been advocating that since he was hired. I took a hit when Theo left.
  2. As Kimmi said, it would be great to see Craig be able to hit again. We know what he was capable of at some point, and he would be a great option to hold down the 1B position. In the future though, I like Dojji's idea of an IFA. Recently (except Rusney), virtually everyone that has come from a place like Cuba or Japan has been a stud.
  3. Napoli struck out in his first AB with the Rangers. Ironic, isn't it?
  4. So Miley got a haircut? Did he also change his number? I could have sworn it wasn't 20 before.
  5. I can't believe how jam packed this AL is. Like the start to this game so far.
  6. I don't know how realistic that is, but I like the sound of it.
  7. Fun fact: Tomorrow's starting pitchers have the exact same ERA.
  8. One step closer to a sweep.
  9. I would rather be rich and full of disappointing players than be broke with a young, inexperienced team.
  10. Compared to Nava's offense, Napoli looks like Ted Williams.
  11. You say that, and he gets a hit. Keep saying that.
  12. Now that Napoli's gone, who is our first baseman of the future? Shaw? Someone else? There have been many scattered theories throughout the season about things that may work, or just things you want to see. But the trade does bring up a very good question. What are we looking at here?
  13. PTBNL or cash But hey, last year, a PTBNL turned into E-Rod.
  14. So now that Lucchino is gone, the original question of this thread is re-established. Who is the biggest problem in the mediocrity of this team?
  15. I'm not getting any of those problems. Maybe you're just delusional, mvp.
  16. The one thing I've picked up this week is that CC sucks. I haven't watched either game of the series, but I heard about CC. He must really suck.
  17. A win tonight would satisfy me greatly. My goal for this team from here until football season is to win series. A win tonight is two straight, and 3 out of 4 after that abysmal start to the 2nd half.
  18. I guess I shouldn't share my opinion. On Opening Day, I listened to the Yankee radio broadcast on MLB Audio in school while I waited for the Sox game to start. They aren't that bad IMO. I like Waldman better, but neither one is terrible in my mind. They provide a wide range of facts, just like Kay and whoever they stick with him on YES.
  19. I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you here. I just want to clarify: You think The President is an obnoxious douchebag?
  20. This team's inability to come back is pathetic.
  21. Bottom tier of the lineup due up in the 9th...
  22. We've had two other 3 gamers with me in charge. Just sayin'. Get well, Spud.
  23. There's a reliever on the Reds right now named Jumbo Diaz.
  24. Meanwhile, I was stuck with Joe Buck and TimMcCarver salivating over the Phillies on the FOX broadcast. Who was pitching? Something makes me wanna say Hamels.
  25. Come on, Youk, I like Nava. I have a ball signed by him and Tito a few weeks after the grand slam in his MLB debut. Surprisingly, I thought his signature was more valuable at the time.
