That's good to hear. It seems like in 2013, we went all in, but with rentals, or at least turned them into rentals by unloading everyone in 2014 at the deadline. -

I'm falling in love with El Leonesa, as I call him. He's getting more and more playing time, and continues to hit, while Hanigan is below the Mendoza line.. I think he's legit, and could play a key role in the postseason as the glue that holds the rotation together defensively, as well as providing a spark with the bat that we haven't seen from a catcher since Tek.

Seems like the best approach to me. We have to remember that this was his 4th start against SF this season. No matter how good you are, a professional offense is going to know your stuff after facing you that many times, and before long, will get to you. Let's see how he does after he settles in against AL competition. His next two starts are against decent AL teams, Detroit and the Angels, albeit good offensive teams. He should have the element of the unknown working for him then.

I've been very impressed with Pomeranz so far. Can't expect to completely shut down a team this good, a team that knows how to work the count and be selective. He's working around the baserunners well.

Yeah, two 11 game road trips coming up, one of them exclusively out west, will be the true test of whether or not this team is built for the playoffs.
