  1. Literally anybody but the Sox
  2. So you root for the Yankees when they're on the road?
  3. That game is famous for the replacements refs. The referees had a lockout that year and missed the first couple weeks of the season. That game prompted the owners to give in and they were back in action the following Sunday. My point is, the refs and their incompetence had a lot to do with that call too
  4. I've been trying to recruit people to watch golf when they start on June 8. Join the movement! #GolfIsFun
  5. I really like Verdugo, if we keep him and he can stay on the field. Pretty lovable dude
  6. I hadn't heard of the steakhouses until I walked past one in the Miami airport, so he might be more famous as a coach among my age group. Who knows
  7. Being at the Super Bowl, I got to see him in person for what was presumably one of his last public appearances. RIP
  8. That's a little racist
  9. How many names will be butchered? Lol I'm not watching that, even if I record it. Just doesn't interest me
  10. I don't like him because he went to UConn. I like him because he's become the role model for stuttering. It seems like he had it worse than I do when he was a kid, and he beat it, so it gives me hope. Mine's much better, but still rears it's ugly head on occasion. He's not that much older than me, so I hope my day is coming soon
  11. You could argue we're all serving a punishment by having the season delayed LOL I'm not opposed to Cora getting rehired, I just don't think he will. First of all, we fired him. Of course the cause for termination has been proved to be moot, but a firing is still a firing. It's pretty hard to just forget about that. Additionally, when he comes out of the suspension, he's essentially a free agent. It's not like we own the rights to him, and it's not like he'll automatically want to come back to the Sox, assuming we even want him, which I don't think is a guarantee. Too many moving parts, at least right now. I want to see how much the players and front office like Roenicke first.
  12. Yes, but all he did was let it happen. Now, don't get me wrong, turning your head is just as bad, but he wasn't the ring leader or anything. For that reason, he can remain my personal hero
  13. Don't drag my boy Springer into this!
  14. Varitek's actual walk up song was so perfect it's not worth changing. Kryptonite - 3 Doors Down
  15. There's no joke in mine. The meaning of the song, the catchy chorus, and how it aligns with my general life philosophy was why I picked it. It was also semi-popular at the time
  16. Let me start this by giving you mine from my senior year of HS:
  17. We were not. We just played them last year. I went to one of those games. I was sitting down the RF line and Cody Bellinger hit an absolute moonshot that was still rising when it went past us, and we were sitting about even with the Pesky Pole! I also got to see AJ Pollock play in person for the first time. He went to my HS. MLB Interleague has a 3 year cycle. Each year you play an entire division from the other league, as well as a home and home your designated interleague rival. So, the Mets play the Yankees, Cubs and White Sox, Dodgers and Angels, A's and Giants, and so on. Ours has alternated between the Phillies and Braves, since we don't technically have an NL team close enough to us to really consider a rival. Last year we played the NL West, with a home and home against the Phillies. This year, we would have played the NL Central, and next year, we will play the NL East. We'll have to wait until 2022 to play the Dodgers again, and who knows what either team will look like at that point
  18. I agree. I don't think we have Cora in 2021. Just because we were cleared of any wrongdoing doesn't make it right. Definitely wouldn't be a good PR look
  19. Same. I was excited for our NL Central slate this year. Yadi, Goldschmidt and Mikolas from the Cardinals were supposed to come to Fenway, as were Yelich, Braun, and Brock Holt. And don't forget our scheduled trip to Wrigley with Grandpa Rossie as their new manager
  20. I miss Big Dick Rick already
  21. Not interested. I want real baseball or no baseball
  22. Little premature IMO
  23. Trey Mancini has Stage 3 Colon Cancer. Minimum of 6 months of chemo. That's brutal. Feel for the guy even though he's been a pain in our side for years
  24. Well, the same point as December/January, just on the opposite side
