    Should be worth a try right? If we don't get a Garza/Greinke/Hamels/Hernandez type pitcher at the deadline I think it is quite obvious this no more than a playoff appearance team. Maybe we're happy with that this year and if so might as well wait for FA to get someone. Plus, I dont think Cherry will bring anyone to Boston by the deadline anyway.

    I guess I don't understand enough mechanically or physically, mentally, w/e, why it is Bard is going to take so long if ever to becoming his normal self again? So he had like two or three pitches he threw really well and then had to find X pitch third or fourth to become an effective starter. yadda yadda yadda...Is it we speculate his confidence is blown or his arm is f***ed up from stretching it too much too fast too hard or what?

    Even if Morales threw 85-95 pitches I'd still put him against the Yanks. No knocking on Cook but we need swing n miss versus the Bombers who are completely living up too their nickname and then some this season... Cook would get shelled on IMO, anything up in the zone.

    I'm right there with you man but this is some real optimistic thinking. I think 2/3 from Oak is reasonable but 1/3 not at all far fetched. Rays were swept by KC. Period.

    Crawford & Gonzo = busts (currently) Yanks spend double Red Sox. WS is expensive when you buy it.
