  1. Alexi just crushed a 2-run homer, 10-6 White Sox right now. f*** the yanks
  2. Still like 3 1/2 weeks till deadline. tick tock tick tock. time now goes by even slower than ever especially with all the freaking rumors and whatnot.
  3. I like that, too. Sadly, Pedroia never bats fourth unless their is an injury or someone is slumping big. Would be nice to see WMB in the 2 a few times. I wouldn't doubt it could happen. Bobby loves to mix the lineup from day to day.
  4. Still keeping Salty in cleanup, huh? whatever floats yer boat Bobby.
  5. Just do a six-man even after the ASB, Morales #6. Or Dice-K #6. Or Trade Dice-K. If Morales is the real deal... again... Sox get an incredible new starter for the rotation. Too bad their isn't enough time before the TD to know for sure if he really has regained/controlled his abilities of the past.
  6. I like that. Except if move back to Boston.
  7. Cook was decent last time out. The Mariners lineup is horrific. Red Sox offense should bounce back versus Mariners pitching/bp pretty damn well. Mariners manager kept Hernandez in the game because he knew his bp would give up the lead.
  8. For once it is paying off to live in CA. It took me quite a while to adjust from the typical 7:10pm time to now watching the Sox @ 4:10pm But now with these games @ Seattle, it's like living in Boston all over again! Except the heat is dry.
  9. Morales must be extremely determined tonight. He's back in the starting role where he used to think he would always be. He's got to know this Seattle offense is weak and if he can shut them down tonight it'll boost his own confidence as a starter again but also the team/FOs confidence in him. I think Morales will be spectacular tonight. Hopefully my hopes aren't getting too high.
  10. I hope Morales pitches versus Yankees and shuts 'em down.
  11. But implied he would suck for us. I know you didn't mention Garza but he's definitely one of the pitchers on all of our lists. GranddaddyPurpman.
  12. It can sort of change who you are. I am not the same person I was at 14. Or even four years ago. He's also learned to deal w/more pressure, i.e. NLDS. But thank you, God, for you're all knowing wisdom: "he WILL be a basket case" "he has NO shot..." It's saying s*** like that, believing s*** like that, that makes it worse makes it true. Mental thought can literally change the physical and metaphysical world around you. But okay, Greinke sucks, right? So let's go get Garza the guy that can't control his emotions. The ump will say ball four when its clearly strike three and Garza loses his s*** and cant find the K zone again. Lester 2.0. I mean, any pitcher has their problems. All players have their problems. Ortiz is old and washed up but yet leading this team in all aspects. Things change. People wow you. I like the risk with the high upside on Greinke. Honestly, I think Greinke would work out great for us. But, I don't think Cherryington will go after him. Maybe we'll get someone. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this team is scrambling for a pitcher on the deadline and end up with nothing. Off topic: if Lackey dies mysteriously do we still owe his family the $$?
  13. He's older now. More experienced. Rangers are in the mix for Greinke. If they get him and win the WS w/him then we'll all be bitching how we should have got him. Oh but wait, there is no pressure to perform in Texas where they lost the WS two years running.
  14. I wonder if Morales will be allowed to throw more than 86 pitches this time out?
  15. Greinke, guys, Greinke. He's a mature guy who is in baseball for the long haul. He went to the NLDS. He can handle Boston. Hamels & Lee are unlikely. I doubt Philly is calling it quits. Get Greinke!!
  16. Greinke boom! he is the type of guy who will take less money to win it big. Boston is his home. Just sign him to a Lincecum type deal.
  17. Anxiety?? So why does Grienke EVER deserve a big contract?? If he pisses himself due to anxiety playing for the Royals/Brewers in a regular f***ing season game... How does he ever plan to win a championship?? Why even play a professional sport?? He should be a clothes salesman. I agree, copout. I want Greinke regardless. If he has anxiety issues during the 3+ mo rental than bring it up during $ discussion and sign him for less. Anxiety! Pssssh. Greinke is our guy go get 'em!!
