  1. Nope, I only would be a lot more pissed off. Just like any fan, I guess. And you? What would you do VA? If we fail again.
  2. I didn't know that even puppets take time to hire
  3. That is my concern/risks about Youk.
  4. A guy who put a 3.3 and a 3.9 ERa the last two years and is making 11 MUSD is overrated and overpaid?, besides, is not like he would be here for 7 years or something, if he shits the bed, Cya in 2013 or take the option, as simple as that. I think that it could workout if we give him the 4th Spot, and who knows, if he continues that tendency, bingo! you have another SP for the coming future.
  5. I wouldn't tolerate a 3-years in a row of no go to POs, or 4-years in a row without even win a PO game. I definitely wouldn't tolerate that again, would you?
  6. Considering the risks around Youk and our need of a solid SP plus low budget, it could work out for us. He would be under contract till 2013 (option 12 MUsD). His ERA has improved the last three years. He was a 3.38 ERA pitcher in 2011 and he could put +- 4.0 ERA in Boston. He is 28. I'm not sure if LAA would like to make that kind of deal without prospects on the table.
  7. Straight up? No prospects, no nothing?
  8. Agree. And our pitching depth doesn't even exist. Am I correct?
  9. He better wake up and soon. I do not buy that crap that still this is November and we have to wait till February or something in order to make a move... As soon as the team is assembled, the team would defenitely be in a better position to face the next season in any aspect. I'm not sure if our FO has that clear how they gonna fill the needed spots and/or at least already planed the 2012 offseason strategy. I hope so. While our team is spending time calling Sizemore's agent, dealing with Theo's compensation and interviewing a lot candidates for the manager job and not protecting our value assets (like Papelbon), other teams have begun filling their needs. Wake up Cherington. Sizemore, the manager, etc, are not our top priorities.
  10. My guess is that Wilson is likely landing to NY/Nats and Buehrle resigns with the WS, at least there is not a juicy and substantial better offer out there. I'm not sure if someone put on the table a long term contract on him considering the 2013 FA pitching class.
  11. Now that Pap is gone, my nice to have is: 1.- Bring a closer. 2.- Keep Bard as the setup guy and let him prepare for the closer job (1-2 more seasons) and let him share the load with the new closer (70%-30%) 3.- Bring a couple of SPs (4,5) or at least bring one and move Aceves to the rotation. Plus 2-3 BP arms, a couple of pitching depth, sign Beltran and/or Ortiz...and If there still budget, bring another RH OF (mostly if we only sign Ortiz)
  12. Got u.
  13. What is the media saying in Philli about Pap?
  14. I strongly believe that his numbers will be significantly better in the NL East.
  15. I don't want to disrespect you but I already showed you what I meant. I'm not sure if I can put my argument clearer.
  16. Nahhh... 1.- He is making -17% than the best by year. 2.- If you think that we paid what Lackey deserved, is up to you, I am not in that wagon. You gave Lackey, Becket's contract. It is not smart. As I said, you pay long term contracts to aces. He was paid like one, and he wasn't.
