  1. If they sign Tanaka and the guy posts the numbers he is expected to post (#1 type) and most of their roster stay healthy, IMHO the NYY will be a lot better next year and a legit contender to win the division.
  2. Heeeey how are you doing SCM33? Exactly, sounds like MC 2.0, and mostly if he goes to an AL team.
  3. A pic of BC or TE pissing pure excellence in my bedroom? No way! LOL!
  4. My crusade against TE? Hahahaha Nahhhh. It's not my fault that you have a picture of him and BC in your bedroom "pissing excellence" LOL! If you think that the Tanaka move (if so) will be on the GM, you are fooling yourself.
  5. In the end he will be the main responsible for this move, for good or for bad.
  6. 200/8? Oh Theo boy!. LOL!
  7. Also IMO Samardzija is so overrated. I don't like the guy at all. I clearly remember a game vs Philly which he was destroyed and others. I wouldn't pay a haul of top prospects for this guy at all, and I don't see that happening either, we'll see though.
  8. Yup, but teams like NYY or LAD and even the Sox are in a totally different situation. They are arguably 1 or 2 players away to win it all on paper.
  9. Thing is, this guy has zero track record in the mlb under his belt. If the name were Kershaw, Fernandez, and few other ace type young players I would understand the strategy though. IMO this move would be too risky if the cubs signed him… it could put them in an horrendous financial situation again if he turned into a D-K 2.0
  10. Well, if you have pushers who are really contenders and also have the money, there's no incentive to go to cubbie land. Cubs are not even close to win anything at all in arguably 2-3 years. why would you bother spending 100+ M in an unproven guy now? it doesn't make sense at all. Spend it when you are at least in a position to be a legit contender.
  11. This. I don't see anyone offering this agin. We'll see though.
  12. Baseball payrolls are insane.
  13. IMO they will be fine. On the other hand an extra arm would be nice.
  14. You have Carp, Gomes, Nava, Vic, JBJ; probably we need an extra arm… but IMO We'll be fine.
  15. BTW, Doji said that JBJ's ceiling is De Jesus, didn't he? LOL!… he is the floor man!
  16. agreed, but I fully expect a 330+ OBP at least next year, we'll see.
  17. Bradley is going to be better than Ells, I'm telling you.
  18. Put him on ignore and don't lose time getting angry if you are going to bitch about his posts by default.
  19. While I think he wanted to stay in Boston at almost all costs, the key was that everybody thought that Cano was going to resign with the NYY and other than Seattle and arguably a couple of teams more, nobody would have paid him more IMO. As I said, thanks God, we are not in that situation.
  20. Hell, thanks God he already resigned. He signed for 110 M, didn't he? Imagine him as a FA these days… I bet the NNY would have offered him a 140-150M contract. The 1 M question is, would he have turned down a contract like that? I doubt it.
  21. As I said, If he is something between Darvish and Ryu, call it deal. On the other hand, if he turns into a D-Matsuzaka 2.0, that contract will be a disaster. He's young and I have read great things about him (reason why tons of teams have showed interest); seems like he has the stuff to be at least a #2, IDK, only time will tell.
  22. Exactly. I have agreed and disagreed with SS just as I do with all the posters. My point is, if you disagree all the times with someone… move on, as you did. Anyway… I think that all professional players are "show me the money" type regardless they are with Boras or not LOL!, and I don't blame them a bit, It's business, plain and simple.
  23. Sox Sports is not wrong at all LOL. U? has a crusade against him regardless what he posts. It's curious, but I haven't seen Sox Sports replaying him not a single time, but U? insists bullying him at any instance, Why? Who the hells know, it's f***ing sick. If he disagrees in everything he says, why does he bother replaying him?, Jeez! Anyway, out there are very very vey few cases. Most of the times and regardless the sport every professional player is looking as much money they can get, regardless the agent, that's not even debatable. Thing is that Boras has an outstanding track record getting the big bucks for his clients who are usually the top FAs every offseason. On the other hand We do not know with precision, the terms of those negotiations/offers which seem from the outside-in and at first blink more juicy (like probably happened in this case, IDK). IMO Boras f***ed this up big time. I think that he expected more money somewhere else and/or expected the NYY raise the offer, and when he realized that was not going to get more money, he had to sign with the Rangers, which is still a very good offer, but as I said, IDK. Whether Boras/Choo f***ed this up or not, Still Choo is being overpaid.
  24. Not sure, whats wrong with SS's post, Please explain us.
