  1. And a lot of terrific teams won a lot of games because had gems at 9th inning and without them wouldn't have won, we are a clear example. I understand your point. You don't give the value that some of us give to a closer. I simply disagree SK, I already rest my point, It is my opinion and I won't try to change yours.
  2. Nahhh I wasn't caught at nothing. You just love to bring horseshit to the table, that is certainly pathetic.
  3. How many 3+ outs SV situations did he convert last year? As I said, only a few are this reliable at the last inning reason why they are key pieces in a team and mostly when you have a lot of doubts in your setup man as we had last year (sending the closer to convert even 5 outs).
  4. Hahaha this is ********, and as always taking my posts out of context. Good try.
  5. No? If you play a lot of close games and have a 2013 Bailey, it impacts even more. Look how many games we gave up because of this before Koji took the role and some were not even close games. As I said without Koji we wouldn't have won last year and if you rush me, we probably wouldn't have made POs.
  6. When you have a guy that SV over 40+ and has a 90+ SV%, is definitely giving you ton of value to your team, mostly when a game/standings are so close.
  7. IMO they play a very important role in a team, and they have become key pieces. Some teams take a lot of time/money in order to find out a good one. We wasted tons of money/time with a lot bums while taxed us with W since Pap go. Look at the Tigers. As you said, the list goes on and on. Hopefully Koji can keep this level; one thing is for sure without him we wouldn't have won last season.
  8. If they want to sign Beltran, fine... I simply don't want to see him at 1B. About UN, don't engage with him, he always takes things out of context and never will understand that it is about opinions. He loves to start s*** and fight with other posters when he disagrees hahahaha. Never will understand why he takes this so seriously. Anyway... As you said, hopefully they resign Napoli (IMO, they will), he's the best option for us at 1B.
  9. And some still saying that it is an overrated position.
  10. Beltran at 1B? Not sure where did it come from... Just sign Napoli and cut the s***.
  11. Mi compadre is in the house! How are you, Ted? I think that the problem is the expectations that some Universities create into their students and/or the expectations that students have when they finish their undergraduate education. Some young people think that only because they completed a undergraduate education at an elite institution deserve a lot of money and a top management position just like that which is totally wrong. Real life is totally different. You have to learn and get experience. On the other hand an undergraduate education and mostly at an elite institution gives you more chances/tools to succeed when you are looking for that qualified/good first job than a young guy that didn't study at all. Collage is not for everyone and some have made a lot money without an undergraduate education, but if I had a son and if it was up to me I would do everything in my hands to encourage him/her to attend collage, and if it is at an elite one, even better. As a father you want the best for your kids and education is the best you can give them IMO.
  12. I think he is talking about undergraduate level while I'm talking about graduate level and specifically about HBS's MBA program... So I don't know LOL.
  13. HBS has one of the best programs in this planet based on the method case which is followed by tons of business schools around the world. The value of the method case is not the "professor" or the "facilities" of the business school but the people that attend the program (average in HBS: 700 GMAT plus other filters; which guaranties in some way the competitiveness of the class) since the dynamic of the program is not the typical class where the professor teaches and the students only receive knowledge. In fact, the professors only play the role of moderators for the discussion created by the students who debate tons of real cases in order to reinforce one thing and one thing only: their decision making. Anyway, I think MVP has been told wrong, HBS is not overrated, most of the people who graduates there are successful in business, look at Bush LOL.
  14. Sooner or later IMO Nap is going to be back.
  15. Sorry YoN, with all due respect you are wrong here. UN? started saying "Please stop saying stupid things". I just let it passed since he loves to start s***. Wonder what's stupid? This is classic UN? When somebody disagrees with him. You should have stopped him first IMO. Anyway, I'll drop this.
  16. IDK you Mark but I'm just tired of Salty's D.
  17. I would like to see this LUP in opening day. JBJ Vic DP Ortiz Napoli McCann Nava/Gomes WM XB
  18. How many Y and $ would you pay to McCann? How many years is Vasquez away to be a reality?, haven't followed the kid.
  19. Even if they overpay a bit Napoli and McCann I'll be fine. Regarding the CF, 3B and SS, we'll be fine even if we go all the way with our former players/cheap (WM, JBJ, XB).
  20. That is not the context of my post.
  21. Yup. I would go for McCann as well and call it offseason. If they can resign Drew, Salty or Ells fine, if not I don't give a s***.
  22. Totally agree. You just can't go on cheap all the way. Great post, Fred.
  23. Yup, our offseason has two names. McCann and Napoli.
  24. I'm ok letting Salty, Drew, and even Ells walk... I only would try signing McCann even if you overpay a bit. Ross is not a everyday C and IMO Lav is not the answer yet.
  25. One thing is for sure, thanks God they are cleaning Theo's FA mess. Poor Cubbies.
