  1. LOL! he had a very good year in Philly, and another not that good but still posted a under 3 ERA. He is going bounce back and will post his usual numbers and will be on track in Mo's highway.
  2. Papelbon played too and helped to win WS. Not to mention that he is the best closer ever in this team.
  3. Kids certainly no LOL!. Just kidding Pal.
  4. Yeah, because IMO it would be a bad move and happens that TE is behind of this. does this opinion turns me into TE hater? really? You began con las pendejadas, not me. You just can't shut up, I thought you were ignoring me.
  5. I know Pal. It wasn't your assumption, it was mine. so, what?
  6. Terrible. As long he is not in red sox uniform, everything is going to be alright LOL!
  7. shitstorm? shitstorm then. Pendejadas in spanish, google it.. Again, I have nothing against TE. why would I? LOL! I'm simply pointing out my opinion in this regard. That's the thing, this call/suggestion is on TE, and the ownerships of course are who approve the move, plain and simple. I bet the ownership didn't even know who in the hell was this guy.
  8. No? All the discussion started with Pal's post. I said "oh Theo boy" assuming that the report was "true". Then you began your typical storm s***. Do not believe me? check it out.
  9. I don't have certainty of nothing. You neither. Nobody has. It's my opinion, rj. Some people believe that this could take even longer, probably 5 years. IDK. Nobody knows. IMO this would be a huge mistake if the rummor were true. He is an unproven kid at mlb level. if the name were Fernandez or Kershaw I would reconsider, but still the financial commitment would be insane.
  10. ********. Reread my post #443.
  11. because is an opinion, JE.
  12. Please show me (or anyone) when or where I said that I'll wait.
  13. and other games rj. I simply don't like the guy, and yeah, IMO he is overrated, but that's me.
  14. For what we are discussing here, you do not need it, trust me.
  15. My thought process is fine. Re-read what I have wrote.
  16. Totally wrong, JE. Thing is, The cubs are not in a I-want-to-win-it-all mode right now, since they are "rebuilding" the team. My point all along is why in the hell spend such kind of money now, when you are 2-3 years to win. IMO i see more question marks than probable rewards making this move right now. Some are saying that he could be at his prime in 2 or 3 years, fine but IMO they would be gambling a lot here if that were the strategy. I would spend a la Mariners/Toronto when I'm in a position to at least be a legit contender on paper. But that's me.
  17. pride of my business knowledge? LOL!, C'mon man, you do not need business knowledge here. Pure common sense. Also do not mix things up. Every single penny spent in an organization little or much, always is approved/propelled /backed by the ownerships, directly or indirectly (via work flow or via their purchase depto/management team who are pre-pre-authorized to do that , for example). Of course, when you spend 200 M in a player, you bet the ownerships are going to at least check out carefully what in the hell they are spending, but still that call/sugestion-to-spend such kind of money is on TE, no GM, no the Owners, TE, and is part of his job and accountability/KPI; TE is the one who is supposed to hire/land the big fish… for good or for bad.
  18. in the middle, probably a bit above.
  19. Don't take wrong. I liked what he did here regardless whether he assembled the teams or not, but also you just can't hide how he turned this team into a cancer. We had to move on, and we did, things were out of hands in his last years. It is what it is.
  20. Working Undercover? Wow!. Well... Hopefully everything is fine with you, and soon you can rejoin with your family.
  21. Probably of a player or Fenway but a picture of a GM? Really? LOL! A kid doesn't give a s*** who is running the team and even a lot of adults neither, trust me. Thing is, if the Cubs sign Tanaka, it is going to be on TE, no the GM, no the owner, TE. For good or for bad. Where's the crusade if Tanaka turns into a good deal? I know UN? Loves TE (probably you too), but this is getting ridiculous man. On the other hand, IMO it would be a stupid move for a team like the Cubs which is not in a position to win anything at all in arguably 2-3 years. Why to put on a financial risk an organization not with 100 M but 200 M with an unproven kid RIGHT NOW? Why?. It doesn't make sense to me at all. Also while we won 2 WS under his tenure (with a team that he didn't assemble, but that's ok), his horrible track record on FA signings among other things put his ass out of Boston, and probably will happen again in Cub land if he doesn't right the ship. Time will tell though.
