  1. Wonder if the FO is really in the hunt for Shields as they apparently were for Lester. After watching the numbers and his durability would be a mistake not landing this guy at whatever price even if this means entering in a bidding war with NYY, LAD or eventually DET.
  2. Would you trade Craig+ for Gallardo or Lohse?
  3. Looking the numbers and considering what Lester got and what Scherzer will get, a 120 M contract sounds like a bargain to me.
  4. I would exchange the combo for any of them in a heartbeat.
  5. Sure, in a team like KCR or even ours, Shields would be a No 1. In some teams he could be a No. 1. But he is not an ace by any means, he could even be a number 3/4 in teams like LAD DET WSN, etc. Damn, not sure when is going to be the season when we have a solid 1-2-3 like LAD or DET.
  6. ...and to me Shields is a No 2.
  7. They have money, right? Then... What is the big deal giving Shields a 120 M contract? Overpaid? You bet, but almost every FA is. So show him the money already haha
  8. Hi Fred... Well, as for culinary taste I like all kind of food, Italian, Mexican, Seafood, American Beef Cuts, etc. As for the weather, hopefully it is not that cold, either way I will wear a warm jacket haha. Thanks for all the advices, and if you catch a game, let me know to have a drink together with Ted.
  9. yeah... for different reasons I did not have the opportunity to go, and probably going to an opening day game and for the first time, could be even more magical as you say.
  10. Thank you Ted, for all the advises. I have a friend who lives there and just offered me to stay in his place, not sure yet if I take his hospitality, but If I decide to stay in a hotel, I'll definitely consider your advise and I'll let you know.
  11. Thank you MVP, I'll try to go if there is availability.
  12. Sounds great, Thank you MVP. What about before/after the game? I'll be in Boston from April 9th to April 15th. Ill try to go in that weekend, but not sure if they open when there is not a game.
  13. I bought my tickets today at 11 a.m or something, it started at 10, right? so.. in an hour the tickets for opening day were sold out hahaha incredible.
  14. Thank you Ted... where do you usually get the seat? What do you recommend?
  15. Well, since this is going to be my first time, I thought it was worth to overpay. As I said Ill be there for the second game as well, hopefully you are around to say hello.
  16. Thank you, I just bought the tickets. What is the bleacher bar? is it a bar inside the ball park?
  17. Actually they have 16% and 5% of obstruction and seems like the home plate for the second game apparently is obstructed, damn! jajaja Didn't know that the ball park have obstructions.
  18. Thanks, seems like they are not obstructed seats, according with the ball park map. According with stub hub it is Infield Grandstand 15 section, Row: 19, Seats 5,6 for opening day. As for the second game those are located at GRANDSTAND-FIRST BASE, Grandstand 15 Section, Row 18, seats 15 and 16.
  19. Are going to opening day? Opening day tickets start at 120 or something at Stubhub. I selected the infield grandstand section (hopefully those seat have a good view), which are around 250 USD each after fees. Those tickets are around 38 USD for any other day. Since this is going to be my first time, I knew all along that I had to overpay such kind of money since I wanted to be at opening day.
  20. Yeah!... this will be my first time... I'm so excited. I never hadn't paid such kind of money for a sport ticket ever... It is way too much for us here in Mexico, Mostly since the U.S. dollar exchange fee has raised a lot the last copule of months; it is 14.6 MXP/USD, just nuts. Putting this in context, Both tickets for both days just cost me around the cost of the flight ticket, plain crazy. So... a trip to Boston from here is around 1,200 USD, (fly + game tickets), Probably I have to add an extra 2500 USD to cover the hotel, meals, drinks, souvenirs, etc. jajaja. Hopefully I see you there and other posters as well.
  21. My friend... I just bought my tickets as well for opening day and for the second game against WSN. April 13th and 14th. I bought the opening day tickets via stub hub since at the red sox site aren't available anymore. As for tickets for the second game, I bought them directly at the site, seems like some tickets are still available. The opening day tickets are for the infield grandstand 15 section, Row 18 and the tickets for the 2nd game are for the grandstand-first base, section G15, Row 18. The opening day tickets cost me 449 USD (2 tickets) and I'll be able to print them until April 8th according to stub hub. The tickets for the second game cost me 92 USD (2 tickets). I paid 4 times more for the opening day tickets, crazy LOL!... hopefully the experience worth the fee. Anyway, hopefully I meet you there and other posters as well if you or somebody else is assisting to those games at Fenway.
  22. Thing in that scenario is that it could be too late if things were wrong. It is a must at least an extra 1st-tier arm. They say that they have money and could go over the LT, so... Why not sign a top FA like Scherzer or Shields without giving up any value. Then, in August if we need an extra arm trade as you are saying in a more reasonable scenario.
  23. I thought It was only me, but seems like we see the thing eye to eye.
  24. Is it me or Webster always looked panic on the mound. I won't miss neither of them.
  25. I have more faith in Kelly and Ranaudo than the recently signed.
