  1. Omg Farrell. Not sure why Barnes still there... And in our team.
  2. Owens' trade mark. Somehow this kid always finds a way to get out of jams. Watching him pitch is so stressful.
  3. I don't remember a NYY team this bad.
  4. Owens is definitely blessed by the Gods of baseball LOL!
  5. What I find interesting in Owens is his BABIP thus far. It is 346. Also, while his ERA is 4.8, his FIP/xFIP 6.92/6.45. His SIERA which consider BABIP? 5.92. Also his K/BB is 1. While his BABIP should normalize, his ERA estimators and K/BB are not encouraging thus far. This is going to be a tough game to win. We need to pound their rookie early.
  6. Well, Iglesias' UZR/150 is 3 points higher in 2015. ... but let me put it this way and aside stats, if I had to defend my infield --and both healthy-, and if the decision were based only on their glove, I'd choose Iglesias over Xander any day of week.
  7. Well I tried to go to every staff. My 2 fav hitters are Papi and Manny. My 2 fav SP are Pedro and Lester ... and my fav reliever is actually the best we have had. Papelbon. Yeah I like Pedroia, Nomar, Tek, Youk, etc. We have had great players in recent history but If I had to choose only five, I would take those I mentioned. My top? David Ortiz.
  8. oh yeah, I'm not arguing that, actually both and LL certainly put their 2 cents for our success in recent history, but they are also very gone because their results were not good in their last years of their tenure ... but since the thread is "Worst free agent/trade in Sox History" I began with my post #33.
  9. Have you applied for moderator? Seems like you like the job mvp.
  10. Well, if I had to choose my top 5 Red Sox players in recent history, I'd choose Pedro, Papi, Manny, Lester and Papelbon.
  11. I think I have to disagree a bit here my friend. While XB is way better hitter, Iglesias is way better at defense. On the other hand if I had to choose someone, I'd chose XB.
  12. In the past 20 years it is hard to say but in Theo's/Ben's tenure you could probably find the worst.

    The Cubs

Tomo they face WSN. It is going to be a great series. WSN wins tomo, though.

    The Cubs

Lester posted another solid start today. They just swept the Pirates in their home. Their rotation's numbers are ridiculous. Their offense is making a lot of runs. I have some questions at their BP but won't be a major problem, I guess. I don't see a better team right now. Won't be surprised if they win 100+ games this season.
  15. I was driving to home when suddenly an alert displayed in my phone saying CWS 2 BOS 0, and I said, this is going to be one of those long nights for my Sox. Buch settled down and the rest is history. Great win against a very tough team. If Buch give us two more months of this, call it deal.
  16. At Offense. I like Papi. Based on his wOBA & wRC+ he is the best hitter of the team (440, 190). At the Rotation, Wright should be the one. He is our ace thus far LOL!. He is 1.37 ERA, 3.26 FIP, 0.4 fWAR. At the BP I love what I have seen in Hembree. His numbers are just ridiculous. 0 ERA, 11 K/9, BB/9 1 HR/FB 0. Sure, He has not pitched much but his performance is encouraging and makes me think that he will continue just great.
  17. This series is going to be a tough challenge for the Red Sox.
  18. Welcome Jane.
  19. First place in the ALE in April since 2013? That's a good signal. Great win, good night to all.
  20. I insist, Holt is a five tool player. LOL!
  21. mmm I don't think he pitch another inning.
