    I wouldn't trade any young talent, especially when you have plenty of money. Of course I like Harvey or Gray, but I wouldn't let walk my top prospects when out there will be good FAs. Just sign 2 solid/durable SPs. If they accomplish the 70% of the expected value I'll call it deal. Look at Pepelbon. Look at Buehrle. Wait and see Shields and Lester. Thing is to have the eye of the tiger and DD seems to have it.

    They can keep whoever they want as long as they sign 2 solid/durable SPs (3 ERA/200 IP) and rebuild the BP.

    Ben's plan was a mistake since day one. Some are comparing it with Toronto LOL!. The pieces used by Toronto are way better all-around.

    this! Yes, planning for failure is dumb. Buch can't stay healthy, stay away from him. I have my hopes high on DD. I have heard very nice things about him, hopefully he assembles a good pitching staff for once and for all.

    David with another season of 30+ HR. I don't care the f***ing stats or his age, bring him next year, and the year after that, until he wants.

    While some of them simply suck, some of them have been overused. This rotation has taxed their incompetence to the team in many different ways. Hopefully DD builds a solid one this time, I'm done with the "good enough" strategy.

    Every GM make their homework, that is out of the question. The thing is that some of them take bad decisions based on their analysis/homework, just like in Ben's case. At the time (especially last 2 offseasons) some agreed with him and some not, and that's fine, but in the end, time would tell if their analysis/homework/plan were oks. Time has spoken for Ben... he is very gone. Hopefully DD make the right decisions.

    We need 2 3.0-3.5ERA/180-200 IP arms. Not one. We have plenty 4.5+ ERA pitchers.

    Well some think that you can build a rotation around ERod. I like him but he is still a rookie who needs to learn a lot more. Hopefully he has a bright future.

    Terrible. 90 M is a lot of money. It's almost the half of their payroll in a year basis. ...and still this is beyond the money (which it is considerable), it is about the decisions made. I would say that in the real world this is the kind of decisions that makes you lose your job like in Ben's case, for example.

    Yes! It's great when my sox win but mostly when they make me win a bet. Hopefully some of you took my recommendation, the line was pretty good.
