  1. Yeah! It’s called confidence!
  2. I feel ya. All I’m saying we should believe them a little bit more. We have a very good competitive team regardless how this ends up. Great win!
  3. Yes it was — given the circumstances. Baseball is beautiful —at times.
  4. Once again. This team is special. Please stop all this pessimism folks. Whata win!
  5. If we take this, this team will regroup and gain more confidence. This is the kind of wins that catapult you to other levels. 2 outs! Barnes looks filthy. Again.
  6. This is what dirty water means Toronto.
  7. That’s Whata I’m talking about mother f***er haters lol Sweet Lead!
  8. yeah not mention Snell is playing in a pitcher-friendly park. Haven't followed Snell lately but certainly they had their founded reasons.
  9. Nope. I'm just taking the 36% of balls in play which are actually hits. That's actually the universe of hits when baseballs are in play. The important thing is that his BABIP hence his ERA will likely regress to his former career numbers.
  10. Being fair, last night he didn't get a call to a marvelous down in the corner sinker. Same happened vs Texas. Those bad calls were taxed in ERs. Not to mention he is already sporting a ERA around 2 and his run prevention indicators look good specially xfip and SIERA —3 and 2.7. Not an excuse at all but IMO kid has a very encouraging future. IMO just kinda bad luck lately.
  11. Some Pitchers coming off TJ surgeries get even better. Look at Julio Urias. All I know is what they have been saying in reports here and there regarding Sale's recovery which sounds very encouraging. Regarding his approach, unlike other pitchers who have only one pitch to put batters out, he can use any pitch of his repertory to do so. If he comes back 100% healthy, his velo won't be an issue, and if so, in the worst case scenario, he can reinvent himself using more often his slider which is nasty and inducing more movement to his FB. Remember, we also have Bloom's pitching crew in order to help him. Said that, he is not that old. He can pitch at great level the next 3-4 years if he comes back 100% healthy.
  12. By WAR, BOS BP is at T4. TOR? 11. I feel very confident if the game has to be decided by the BPs, not to mention our offense has been better as well according to wRC+ rankings — 4 vs 7 (111 vs 106)
  13. To put it in context, Richards just faced a T-5 wRC+ team. Time to give him credit boys. Hopefully Pivetta shows up as well tonight.
  14. Assuming all LDs have fallen in fair territory, only 26% of the 36% of the balls in play have been hits via LDs —i.e. 9/100 balls in play. To put it in context and see the impact, 20% represent only 7/100 hits via LDs. 2 more hits in 100 balls in play via LD is not relevant in my book. Said that, regardless the type of ball in play, it's expected the ball won't fall in fair territory that much in the future. It's not a theory, it's a fact based on a very large sample.
  15. There's no question that Cole is in his prime and is one of the best of the game, and Kluber WAS an ace. It's hard to say how a horse who has already ridden a lot of battles will pan out trough 162+ games after 2 years of absence. Just time will tell. Said that, If you expect Kluber's resurgence from his ashes this year like the phoenix, it is even more encouraging for Sale's case considering he is younger.
  16. It's called pitching acumen lol I have read here and there that Chaim was the real arquitect building TB's pitching from bottom-up in all aspects. There's not a coincidence our pitching has been very solid and has turned around in a very short period of time. Nobody gave them credit entering the season —nobody. Geez even people including Red Sox fans are still expecting somehow this pitching choke at some point (look at the game threads lol). They not only have picked up some under-the-radar good arms like Richards, Pivetta, Whitlock, etc. but a lot of work and coaching in all the pitching staff is palpable as well. I really feel very confident moving forward with Bloom running the operations of this team, specially at pitching. Bloom also will have a lot of budget in the years to come (unlike TB) in order to assemble a great team like Friedman did in LAD. It's very encouraging our future. Just watch.
  17. It’s going to be a dogfight but in the end the good boys will prevail.
  18. I honestly see TB and HOU in better shape these days than those when they played the Yankees. Maybe it’s only my perception. Don’t forget that entering the season, NY was supposed to be above Boston and by several games in the win column at this point. Weeks pass and it ain’t happen.
  19. Getting ridiculous lol Don’t be surprise if Perez throws a no-no in his next start.
  20. Rest is history. That hurts.
  21. Geez that sinker was a great pitch and the ump didn’t call it.
  22. Just the opposite IMO Richards has better stuff and higher ceiling.
  23. Richards with another gem. I think it’s safe to say at this point he was the pick up of the year for the Sox. Nothing indicates he will regress. His Stuff is filthy. Jacko will keep saying he is going to choke though lol
  24. Stripling has nothing tonight. We need to juice off him before their pen comes.
  25. Wow! Another bomb, see ya!
