  1. Some good minor league pitchers do not pan out in big league and the opposite. The FACT is Houk has showed more encouraging things playing with the big boys. Garcia hasn't.
  2. No, his short MLB pedigree is not good, by any means. His xFIP and SIERA are 4.6 which suggest his ERA is the real thing, not to mention his BABIP is 290. Imagine if it were 300 LOL Houk is a better bet in my book.
  3. Aside that CY year from Porcello, he was trash. He was a 4.4 ERA pitcher even with that CY year. Number 4-5 numbers in my book. Miley? the same. 4.4 ERA Hill as you said, didn't give us much. Kell, Buch, etc were horrible. Yeah, pitching wasn't his forte. Thanks for that WS but he had to go. Glad to see we have Bloom now.
  4. 1-0 TB and runner on 2nd and nobody out btw
  5. if they lose badly those 2 series could be the beginning of a titanic debacle which they can't recover —mentally in special.
  6. I was glad we got rid of Cherington at the time. Pitching was always an issue all-in-all I think Bloom will fix that and will splash in the coming years. Starting now.
  7. plus, you just ate 15 runs from the Detroit f***ing Tigers. It's not like your pitching has been good lately.
  8. Thats the way I see them, but I do hope Houk somehow can be durable moving forward
  9. Reason why I said, "Garcia was not the answer" and yes, as I said, Houk at least has showed he can pitch at very good level. Small sample but still. Garcia still has to show that —if so.
  10. THAT was not what I was disputing. What I was disputing was the fact (even before he was sent down) he was/is not the solution the solution to take Kluber's spot NOW
  11. No one in your pitching staff will replace what Kluber gave you Jack. None.
  12. IF (BIG IF here) that happens it will take what?, 1-2 months from here? by then, NY could be out of the race. You need solutions, NOW! specially since Kluber will be out for 2 months and your offense is plain dead. Kind of my point.
  13. All I'm saying Garcia is not the answer for NY this year specially considering Kluber will miss at least 2 months. The fact he was just demoted rest my case. Is he going to pan out in the mid-long term? that's another topic but for all have been said in recent posts is a complete mystery.
  14. Houk already pitched in majors and he did just great. Houk is a reality (or very close to be). This kid Garcia hasn’t showed anything yet. Moon and the sun in my book.
  15. I think I wasn’t that wrong in my post. He is probably a project at best but not an answer for them this year.
  16. My point of my post rest my case. He is not the answer for NY this year. Not even close.
  17. They just sent him to AAA. That was quick.
  18. This team will be nothing but better with all the help on the wings you put above, plus what we might pick before the trade deadline.
  19. Play 500 ball moving forward and we will win 87 games. Very likely we win 90+ games.
  20. Whata double play! Another W to the books boys!
  21. A lot. Can’t remember last time I saw something like that.
  22. Renfroe! This should seal the deal!
  23. Quietly this pen has been more than oks thus far and is getting better moving forward. Encouraging.
