  1. No prob Divinity. Italian - What's the word on the ends of the draft (1 and 16). If they miss their first pick, I guess they get 16 hours for their 2nd? That'd be brutal.
  2. Yeah, there should be a rule where the 1st, 2nd, 15th, and 16th only get 4 hours for their 2nd pick if they miss their first. That way, if you weren't around or Will wasn't around, it seems ridiculous to wait 16 hours.
  3. I'll put the Over/Under on wins from our Starters at 76. I'll put the Over/Under on wins from our Bullpen at 25. Let's see how it turns out.
  4. Dammit. They need to have sound effects on the message boards so you can play crickets for a bad joke, or the rimshot for a bad joke, etc.
  5. Thank you for being PC. Now. We have a lot of work to do down south.
  6. By the way - can you imagine if Mauer hadn't of signed that big contract extension last year? Another bidding war between the Yankees and Red Sox, because both teams are horrible at catcher. 7/142 wouldn't have gotten close. He may have been another $25mm player. I think the Sox would have splurged for him and stayed out of the Crawford race. Ellsbury Pedroia Mauer Gonzo Youk Ortiz Cameron Drew Scutaro Not a bad line up indeed.
  7. Not sure. I didn't know when he started his vacation. Either way. December 23 through January 4 are the slowest days ever for baseball, so this is a solid way to make it something interesting. We need to make this the annual mlb draft. Most free agents are signed, most trades are made, arbitration has already been offered, and literally, the days drag if you're trying to break some MLB news.
  8. I would say that the timing of the draft played a pretty big role in that. Not much going on at work around the holidays, and students have Christma...er...."Winter Break".
  9. Nice pick. Divinity - Will - Will - Divinity coming up. These are the ones that should fly by.
  10. How much longer do we have to wait for EXMan? Should have known better than to let a Sigma Chi be a part of this draft
  11. Exactly. He was a Yankee fan too. Can't you control your boys, Jackso?!? Who let that guy out of his room? He's going to kill himself without padded walls.
  12. I think I've finally come across the dumbest baseball fan in the history of the sport. Now, before I get into this, let me tell you, I've seen some idiotic fans. People thinking we can "trade JD Drew and Manny DelCarmen for Justin Upton" type fans. Oh, no. This guy here takes the cake. I read an article on ESPN regarding texts between Tex and Pettitte, and that Pettitte is now leaning toward retirement (I'm sure most of you have seen the article). Well I scroll down to the comments section and get into it with this guy. His name is Cabfareisonthecounter, if anyone wants to go read his posts. He is actually, legitimately arguing, that a teams bullpen is more important than your starting pitching, and that starting pitchers entire role these days is to just 'eat up innings', but that the wins come from the bullpen. Now, don't get me wrong. I know, especially after last season, that the bullpen needs to be solid. But to say that it's the most important position? He went on to ask me if I could name 1 team who's starting rotation won 65 games last year. After I named 7, he started backtracking. He said "Anyone who watched the post season last year will tell you that the Giants won on bullpen". :wtf: My dear God. Where do these people come from?!? Oh - and I guarantee you that if the Yankees got Cliff Lee, he'd be preaching all day about how the Yankees are going to win the WS this year because of their SP. :wetodd:
  13. Waited too long to draft. I was really counting on one of Hamels or Hanson to fall to me this round.
  14. I think I'm going to take the Yankee approach. f*** starting pitching, outslug EVERYONE.
  15. You guys have me doubting my CJ Wilson pick. Damn Damn Damn. I really messed up this time.
  16. Exman - ytrb - divinity - will (i believe)
  17. RSFFL - Rasmus is an OF, not SP
  18. Alright. Gotta go with some SP finally. CJ Wilson, SP - $3.1mm
  19. Ey-yi-yi. All my picks are going in order. This is devastating. Ok a700. If you pick my next guy, I'm going to be really mad.
  20. It's definitely a solid strategy. I was joking around, you'll clearly be better than the M's.
