  1. There ya go Ellsbury. Your pick.
  2. I'm dying for someone to fall to me.
  3. Yeah. It's hard typing with one hand.
  4. Why not let Theo go give him 4/48 and let him, Youk, and Gonzo rotate at 1B/3B/DH starting next year.
  5. Buch got picked earlier. Liriano and Weaver were just recently chosen. Buch should be (IMO) about an 17-8 or 18-8, 3.25 ERA guy this year. His strand rate last year was crazy high.
  6. Beastly. I'm having to delete a lot of names off my list. JBay - you're up. After JBay, I've got Flynn's picks, and I believe RSFFL has Italian's picks, so it should swing quickly.
  7. Good pick, I had him on my board as well. Yankee228 is on the clock
  8. Well I thought Mauer was taken early. I thought Posey would go before him since Posey will put up similar numbers, maybe not RBI's, but fairly similar numbers at about 1/36th the cost. That was the big one so far. But Mauer is Mauer, and he's a beast, just an expensive beast.
  9. Yeah, but to discuss the players who have been drafted, I would have to mention the players that haven't been drafted. i.e. "I can't believe ______ took Player X when Player Y was still available!"
  10. Is anyone else dying to talk about these picks? I'm pretty sure that if we were allowed to talk about them, I wouldn't want to. But now that we're not supposed to mention any names, that's all I want to do.
  11. You can send to me if you want. I'll be on all day.
  12. Flynn - Don't forget to send enough for 2 picks, especially since Italian is probably going to do the same.
  13. Hey does anyone on here have XM Radio? I know, I know. Off topic, but I'm thinking about getting it so I can listen to the Sox games on the road and the mlb radio I've heard is pretty good.
  14. There has been a lot of speculation as to whether Andy Pettitte will pitch for the Yankees in 2011 or retire. On Tuesday, Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira told ESPNNewYork.com that based on text messages he's exchanged with Pettitte this winter, he believes the veteran pitcher is "leaning toward retirement." "I think, like everyone else [thinks], if he's leaning one way, he's probably leaning toward retiring," Teixeira said. "I think that's what he's publicly said. It's no secret right now. That's probably where he's leaning. But in a month and a half, a lot can happen." Looking more and more like Pettitte is going to retire. That'd be really big for the Sox, as the Yankees would be 80% right handed in the rotation against the Sox who can stack lefty after lefty in their line up.
  15. WhiskeyBreath - You're on the clock. He said he was going to send his picks to someone. Did anyone get a PM from him with his top 3?
  16. a700 - You're on the clock. (and online right now)
  17. Alright, I gotta get a middle infielder. I'll take Dan Uggla, 2B, 7.8mm
  18. Ah s*** sorry guys. Last night I started feeling sick and took some ny-quil. Once I take that stuff, there's no waking me up until it runs its course. Alright, I'm torn between two players right now, so give me a minute.
  19. But who is going to take on Pap, coming off his worst season, at $12mm, in a contract year? We would have to eat about $8-9mm just to get a bite, and at that point, I would say Pap is worth the extra $4mm to see if he can rebound. Otherwise, trade him at the deadline if you can get better than 2 draft picks, even if you have to eat a little salary.
  20. ....and another tweet from Heyman: while #redsox like fuentes, they have company. others w/some interest: tor, tb, colo, sea, minn, pitt, phil, milw, nyy & nym I see the Twins, Yanks, Rox, Jays, and possibly even the Mets all offering 3 years at more than 12mm. Now, if Fuentes is looking at it purely from a monetary standpoint, he'll probably go elsewhere. If he's looking at it from a winning standpoint, I think the Sox will outbid the Phils, and those are the two teams with the best chance for the next couple of years.
