i think we should save it for special ocassions like for when a fan of an opposing team comes into the game thread to count down the outs until their starter's out of the game. that takes a special breed

those two guys don't exactly strike fear into the opposing hitters

not to mention, 3b isn't the power position that it used to be. the average 3b the last couple years has had a slg around .430

yeah, joba's probably the biggest gamble on the whole staff. i'd take my chances with wood too though

lowrie's got a great eye and gap power. if he could transition to 3b defensively, he could be pretty good. i doubt the red sox take that gamble though

it looked as if gardner would have been out if the throw was accurate but it's pretty standard to give the baserunner the benefit of the doubt on plays like that
