yeah, it's one thing if he was hurt on a routine basis but this is a guy who started 153 games last year and stole 70 bases. he doesn't have a history of injury, in fact i think it's safe to say that he's usually pretty durable the red sox are a much better team with ellsbury thant they are without him

that's the million dollar question. at his age, he should be in the prime of his career but he hasn't been a consistent pitcher since 2007. thank god we've got lester and buhholz in the rotation
