    They are screwing him around. Look at his career stats at Fenway in 3 year: 1.71 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, if he isn't closing, yes that's screwing him out of what he been groom to do. They hold the cards because he doesn't have leverage in negotiations or arbitration.

    Bard is not a starter after 3 measly start? If they want to commit him as a starter, option him to AAA and he can work it in the minors. He still got all 3 options as they never demoted him. I feel the whole thing was smoke and mirror, they never intended him as a starter.

    I like what I saw out of Bard last night. He settled in later in the game, and was still throwing 97 in the 5th. I still want to see him attacks hitter more with softer stuff. I didn't see a first pitch offspeed strike. There was just 1 well hit ball last night off him, and it's the blind squirrel finding his nut type.
