  1. Youkilis look very lost.
  2. s***** start to the game.
  3. Watching Dodgers/Padres, Petco just ate up a HR.
  4. oh snap. Zobrist got a high cutter...
  5. joe West is horrendous.
  6. yup what the heck was that, Maddon?
  7. Does Robertson usually throw this much pitches in relief?
  8. Got lucky on that ball A-rod caught.
  9. Corpse of Ibanez muster it out.
  10. Shields looks s*****. 2011 might be his career year, otherwise he's a 4ERA type guy.
  11. This gonna be a long ass game if the starters take forever to throw a pitch. Add to Jeter and Cano taking their sweet time between pitches.
  12. THE CAPS LOCK IS DANG SWEET
  13. We do not know if Bard CAN'T close until he does it. He could also GROW into it and thrives. He's a dominating reliever who been used to nothing but stressful innings. He has to be given a chance first before being written off.
  14. Blown games are blown games. All closer blow games. Rivera has allowed more career HRs to the Orioles than any other team. But a turd like Valvede is not that good as some think he is. A strand rate of 83%. He better sacrifice more goats to the baseball gods.
  15. You can't proof that Bard does not want to close.
  16. Rangers are still shopping Uehara, he's a good reliever 10K/9 and sub 2BB/9. Depends on what they ask for, like an OF or something. I want him up upgrade this bullpen. They got rid of a terrible Chris Davis for Uehara. And he's under contract just this year, and the price can't be that high.
  17. Bard wanted to start or close. The FO wants him to replace Beckett in 2 year at the top of the rotation. As a closer Bard should have his usual low 2ERA, sub 1.00 WHIP. I don't buy so much into the hype of this role. But I want a lock down reliever.
  18. Valverde is not a good closer. He is on edge everytime he is out there. He's been extremely lucky to escape a lot of jams. Ask any Tigers fans how they feel about him. He is always dancing around mine fields. Sort of like the Dice-K of reliving. The law average out in time.
  19. Closers come and go, and expensive at the same time. Nature of relievers, extremely combustible. I feel Bard could be a force behind the bullpen for years. It's was a perfect opportunity following Bailey injury to insert him in the role. You see how difficult it is to piece together a bullpen. It's has to be blown up regularly. And going closers to closers is destine for failures.
  20. Mike Gonzalez is junk.
  21. As soon as Bailey went down, Bard should be their guy for closing. Now they are possibly without a solution there for years to come and closers market are so bad I don't even want to think about it.
  22. He does beaned quite a lot of hitters.
  23. He should able to close games. But damn his value was that rubber arm and 3 innings he does 3 times a week.
