Giambi was in the middle of a long term contract, Ortiz right now can be dropped whenever they feel like it. When you go from being a guy like him to getting booed, and when he wants a new contract next year, he'll need to do something or will only get a minimum value contract, and that only buys a couple thousand chickens.

It looks like he has the same problems with them as I do. They are great with drafting and farm systems, but they haven't had all that much success with free agents. Although, I'm still optimistic about this season's signings while he is not. -
I'm not watching the game because... well, sometimes a guy has social obligations... but how is Lester looking? I see the stats, but the last time he pitched, he didn't look like his prime, and still pitched an extremely good game.

He costs a ton and they lose him at the end of the season. Sure, the deal needs tweaking, but those guys are worth more than a draft pick.

No Lowell? Matchups or no matchups-- if a guy has a 4 for 4 night, you don't bench him the next game.

Hahaha, no worries. 24 has gotten to the point where everything is completely predictable. How close is my prediction: he came into CTU with a gun pointed at Cole, managed to get in to see Dana Walsh, had them turn off the cameras, Chloe decided Jack was right and starts helping him, they do the torture bit, she doesn't think he's serious, he mentions Rene and tells her to look into his eyes and she tells him everything, she resists and he kills her in cold blood. Oh, and the president's guilt gets the better of her, the old president is in cohoots with the russians, and there is yet another nuclear threat out there. How close?
