  1. Dempster has been a beast so far this year. I don't think that's going to change against the Astros:lol:
  2. I saw 96 not sure if he hit higher than that.
  3. Love this team. Sweep the Stros.
  4. Curious, so I found a quick list. It hasn't been updated in a year, but still worthwhile. http://www.highheatstats.com/2012/04/after-a-perfect-game-few-gems/
  5. I *think* the matchups look like this: Buchholz v Humber Dempster v Bedard Doubront v. Peacock Lackey/Webster v. Norris. The one that seems concerning is the last game-- Norris threw 7 shutout innings against the Angels last week. Everyone else pretty much sucks. Their pitching staff is the worst in the majors and it isn't even close.
  6. If it is high school officiating, the high school team wins. If its NBA officiating, Lebron wins.
  7. Don't you ever ask yourself if maybe you should have chosen something like "pineapple" or "cactus" ?
  8. I predict some combination of Alex Wilson and Steven Wright finishing the game. Whether that is a lock or a reverse lock I find it pretty likely.
  9. Sig-worthy:lol:
  10. FYI, bleacher report is NEVER a reliable place to cite-- it is as reputable as Wikipedia. Guys like Olney/Gammons have said similar things, might make sense to quote them instead.
  11. People are stubborn. If you're not going to stop until they stop, and they do the same... it never ends. I've definitely had arguments that simply went on and on because of it. At some point, you just need to be the better person.
  12. Here's a crazy thought: Lester always has an awful April. What if he's only figuring his stuff out at this point in the season?
  13. Bailey -- "The four of us talked about it, and we made a decision that we'd switch to Shipping up to Boston " (referring to closer song). "Its nobody's song-- its a Boston song". I like Shipping up to Boston a lot more than Sweet Caroline. Honestly, I think this is a good thing as long as it is only used if the Red Sox have a lead in the 9th (or 10th etc).
  14. D'OH. Yeah, you're right.
  15. RED SOX WIN! Good to see a win after the garbage from yesterday. The Sox play Houston for 4 games to pad their lead in the American League.
  16. What impressed me most about Webster during his start was that he only threw 84 pitches in 6 innings. That tells me that he can get deep into games as far as pitch counts go. He's still young and his pitches are being watched, so I'm not concerned about that quite yet.
  17. What? User name mojo tonight? Sorry, I didn't know! Edit: Just to be clear, this isn't sarcasm. I don't f*** with mojo!
  18. Third time in three days that I've come home to see a player immediately hitting a home run. I really need to time it so I come home when the Sox are batting...
  19. As in, Daniel Bard? Yeegh.
  20. I just added Bartolo Colon to my roster. Career ending injury, or full year suspension here we come.
  21. Its always the bench player that they wouldn't care about getting hurt. The bench is pretty solid this year though... the choices are probably Nava, Ciricao or Carp.
  22. The bullpen is wiped out. Three of their best arms are on the DL, and one more was already pushed to the rotation. Even if they do score 7 more runs, it means Tazawa, Uehara and Bailey will probably all need to pitch in the late innings to survive. The odds are heavily against them, and they should take advantage of giving rest to the pen.
  23. I have no problem with that. His arm is good enough for 100 pitches, let him humiliate himself if that's what he wants to do. No reason to waste good bullpen arms because a s*** pitcher is getting blown out.
  24. I'd like to continue the conversation from the previous game thread. Bartolo Colon is a fat-f*** frankenstein-cheater. Discuss.
  25. Jenny to Jerry-- What is Alfredo's biggest fears? Jerry-- Hmm, it wasn't listed here. Jerry's head-- He's not afraid of anything.
