  1. Rumors came out today he wants $60 million. Also Sizemore is close to re-signing with the Tribe. http://twitter.com/#!/Ken_Rosenthal/status/137688625600139264
  2. I know a ton of people in Melbourne. Good looking ladies there haha. You travel to the gold coast to party often?
  3. Sherman predicts Danks will end up with the Yankees. I'm wondering what you would give up for him and what you think it will take to get him, Jackson? I would love to get by with a Romine, Heathcott, Warren/Phelps and lower end guy with some upside for him, but think it'll take Betances, Romine and someone like Jorge Vazquez to get it done.
  4. The 40 man roster has to be set tomrrow for the rule 5 draft. Any guesses who the Sox will add?
  5. Since we both agree Wilson isn't a good option, I'm mostly considering his contract he'll get. Lets see with Darvish CC, Darvish, Nova, Burnett and then Hughes and Noesi. I really like Hughes going for a good season next year. He's working out hard in a program in cali and think he could have a 2010 type season next year. Noesi I like as well. With Buehrle and he's someone I admire as a person due to his charity work but I don't have a hard on for his pitching. I'm not saying he's bad but I just feel we could get similar results from other people cheaper. CC, MB, Nova, AJ and Hughes/Noesi. I'm just kind of liking the Darvish line a bit more and let's say for the sake of it we don't get Jackson, MB or Wilson and Darvish doesn't get posted I'm fine with CC, Nova, AJ, Hughes and Noesi. I mean we could always make a deal midseason for Danks or someone else, Grienke, Cain, etc. Also Banuelso and Betances could be options in July and Phelps and Warren(who I personally like) in May. I'm just saying the Yankees have a lot of pitching depth and options right now. No need to panic and make a move out of desperation.
  6. I agree, I don't want Jackson, MB or Wilson. Go for Darvish and the Cuban CFer and call it an off season. Except for minor moves like re-signing Chavez and/or Jones.
  7. Just another victim of Torre.
  8. He's not even up for grabs... haha. He's a good GM, I'd love to have AA as the Yankees GM tho. Cashman acts like the lion of the jungle, like an article said, he sits back ready to strike on weak teams. That's a good way to play it but not all the time.
  9. It's your perfect off season, I think it's more fantasy than anything.
  10. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/can-the-giants-improve-by-trading-tim-linecum/ Cameron suggests Lincecum and Huff for Montero and Nunez. Sounds like a no brainer but after reading that I'm not 100% sold, but 99% sold haha. I had no idea Lincecum made that much money
  11. Come at you? that package could probably get Kemp... and thats just Kemp. Kershaw's price should probably be more than Felix too. Take Ellsbury and Bogaerts out and do that deal for Either tho. He'd be a nice addition to your club.
  12. A one year $6 million deal with 2 to 3 mill in incentives would be a steal. If you put him in LF or RF he wouldn't have to go all out on a ball and get hurt so often. I'd love him in RF at Yankee stadium. Sure he swings at everything like Vlad but he'd be a nice fourth outfielder for any club.
  13. Glad to have the big man back.
  14. Every team has them, check out the Red Sox off season thread here. Lowe was traded to the Guardians.
  15. Oh I didn't even know they offered him that much. What was their offer?
  16. Davidoff has his predictions here. I got to say some of them I disagree with but wow if the Angels got Wilson they'd have a slick rotation. Haren, Weaver, Wilson, Santana and a fifth starter. Papelbon to the Phillies makes a lot of sense too. http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/ken-davidoff-s-mlb-free-agent-rankings-and-predictions-1.3283074 Here are a few of my own Albert Pujols to the Cubs for 6/168 CC stays with the Yankees for basically Lee's contract but with another 5 million on that. Ortiz with the Sox for 2/24 Wilson to the Nats for 5/90 Reyes(I gotta agree with Davidoff here) Marlins but for more years 7/120 Fielder to the O's for 7/155 MB stays with the White Sox J-Roll and Papelbon to the Phillies Garcia to the Red Sox for 2/10 Cuddyer takes a hometown discount to stay 4/55 Bell stays in SD for 3/30 Madson to the Red Sox for 3/22 What are some of yours?
  17. You do need a RF tho haha I think he signs with the Cubs for 6 years 165 million.
  18. No everyone has insurance. I know Pavano was the most famous case, I believe the Yankees only ended up paying him 11 or 12 million of his 40+ but insurance companies can say no and with Lackey's injury concerns they probably did. I know Pedro Feliciano didn't have insurance on his arm so the Yankees have to pay him his full salary out of their pocket.
  19. woah lets not get carried away here.
