I doubt the Rays will be able to maintain their success for more then a few years, Rays owner said the 70mil payroll they have this year won't even be 60 in 2011, most likely down to 50. Carl Crawford and Carlos Pena will be gone, and only a matter of time before there other big players will want big contracts. Along with being in the same division as the Red Sox and Yankees, they are destined to fail.

If Park had thrown 2 good innings you'd be praising him and the bullpen was pretty depleted anyway without Joba and Robertson able to pitch, besides in the end they still walked away with the W. Sure Girardi makes some iffy calls now and then, but I don't think he's a bad manager.

Boras was requesting a much larger contract then 1 year 8 million from the Yankees, after several months he lowered his demands to 2 years / 20 mill, and the Yankees offered him 2 years / 14 mill which he refused. So the Yankees had no choice but to fill there needs elsewhere. Not to mention they can easily sign Carl Crawford next year, who's better then Damon at this point should they choose to do so. Also judging a players performance over one month, especially in April isn't really relevant. If you did that you would think Mark Teixeira and Jon Lester were horrible players

Its so strange how Tex is completely horrible in April then transforms into a different player the rest of the season, only one week of May has passed and Tex now has many hits as he did in all of April
