    So am i reading this correctly? You actually think that the Sox are depleting themselves of big league ready talent, lots of question marks mean lots of losses, we might not be very good next year and we might have a chance to be competitive in 2 or 3 years? Say it isn't so.

    Not sure I want Salty on the bench either. Unless we get some new heads in the conditioning and medical departments, Lavarnway could be shelved 2 weeks into the season with an ingrown ass hair and we would have to watch Salty hold his glove dead center of the strike zone for three months hoping he'll go on his annual two week hitting streak as the team goes into a free fall.

    And I actually like Aceves. But now he is the poster child for the Sox new strategy of systematically ruining a player by using him in the wrong role because you neglected to back yourself up in that position and didn't want to pay to keep the MLB worthy player you had there.

    Well as long as you bumped it, The sound of Joe Costiglione's voice always signifies summer evening baseball for me. And Ueker is a riot. Especially when he starts having conversations with himself.

    Aceves is 2-8 now as a "closer". We as fans will only have one more month of Red Sox baseball (a blessing in disguise) but please, by all means, keep trotting him out there to close games. After all, as loyal paying fans of your team, we deserve the best.
