  1. Lol, you seriously think that this defense that sucks ass is going to evolve into the top defense in the NFL, like it was mostly from 2001-2007? Seriously?
  2. Calm down, I said all-pro, Harrison, Law, Seymour, are all HOF players that are now gone, though. LOL, he won Super Bowls by low scores, because of the defense. You're delusional as hell dude. LOL again, they gave up a 3rd round pick, it's a steal of a move. Over the hill? You mean the guy who had 30+ TDs, 4000 yards, a 66% completion rate, and 7 INTs last season? Get over your fits of pro-Boston rage. Lol, reloading with a 3rd round draft choice in exchange for one of the league's top receivers?
  3. Seriously, this team's defense isn't very good. Their defenses from 2001-2004 were the best. How long is it going to take them to rebuild to that team? Seriously.
  4. 5 is just plain off, man. The Pats are going to see an increase in three-and-outs.
  5. Do you live in the Appalachians or something?
  6. You're making it seem like there's many more positives than negatives, when it's the other way around.
  7. You're saying mostly what Dojji is saying. I see your point, but I don't see how this is related to Moss. Moss is their biggest offensive weapon, they gave him up for nothing. Their defense isn't at the level that it can shut opponents down the way the former dynasty did.
  8. Also, to have that style of play, you'd have to once again field the top defense in the league, with one of the best, mistake-free, possession offenses in the league. Wes Welker fits in, but how does he get the ball when there's no Randy Moss? Wes Welker was a product of the defense having to put triple coverage on Moss constantly.
  9. Your argument has more merit than the delusional idiots saying that he's not a very good player anymore, but I think saying they're attempting to go back to the old style of football that they played during the 2001-2004 dynasty is stretching it. They traded away one of the greatest receivers in NFL history, who's still elite, for a 3rd round pick.
  10. lol
  11. The old Patriots had hall of famers, suggesting that what they have right now is comparable to what they had is insane. You're acting like they can just get rid of Moss and go right back to 2001-2004 Patriots football, like they're stacked with 6 all-pro defenders or something.
  12. They also had one of the best defensive units in NFL history during that time. They do not have that anymore. They're an offensive juggernaut at the moment, as opposed to their teams pre-Moss. Like I said, they don't have Moss anymore, so what does Brady have to throw to when Welker gets more coverage because the defense doesn't have to account for Randy Moss?
  13. Kirby Puckett is looking down on the Twins, facepalming right now.
  14. Just for clarification, there are still legitimate challenges to the Vikings, like the O-Line, but having this much to work with, the O-Line's suckitude is drastically reduced. Brett Favre is old, and not nearly as able as he was 10 years ago. He needs these weapons, it was the key to his success last season.
  15. You just admitted his use that you've been denying. Triple coverage is what Moss demands. Considering that, with Rice's return mid-season, and Harvin being moved back into the slot receiver role, Shiancoe being one of the top receiving TE, that's a lot of legitimate threats to have to cover. They'll inevitably spread their defenders too thin, and if they go too far into deep pass coverage, there's Peterson still. The Vikings got a top-tier WR for nothing practically.
  16. That theory is seriously stretching it, you're obviously entitled to believe it, but I think some skepticism is warranted, to say the least.
  17. I agree that this is similar to what's happened with Manny, but it's just ridiculous how delusional some of the people here are. They lost a guy who gave them nearly 1300 yards, and led the league in TD receptions last season. There's nothing to be happy about, just like there was nothing happy about Ramirez leaving. Losing a headcase doesn't make your team win games.
  18. Very very good? Where do you get that from? The Pats offense lost their top receiver. Sugarcoat it all you want, the Pats jobbed themselves in this one.
  19. anything is better than Guerrier or Crain. Fuentes and Capps sounds much more appealing.
  20. Welcome to Talksox, where we Talk about Sox.
  21. What are you talking about? You think Tom Brady, Wes Welker, everyone else on offense, is saying this crap? Moss was key to the offense. For one, to dismiss him as "ineffective" through 4 games is absolutely ridiculous. That's comparable to Gom's argument that Matt Holliday can't hit the inside fastball because of one series in the postseason. Remember how stupid he looked? Randy Moss does stretch the field. Like I said, whether it be that he's getting lots of deep passes, or being used as a decoy, he's a key piece to the Patriots offense. Like Kilo said, they don't have the brick wall defense they used to have, they've been an offensive team for the past 3 seasons for the most part. Btw, he's had 1k yards and 10+ TDs the past three seasons with the Pats. Don't know how you can compare 4 games to 3 seasons. Just saying.
  22. All it really is, is saying Moss sucks, I hate him, he's a cancer, good riddance, by the way Brett Favre sucks.
