Just noticing the production the Yankees are getting from the likes of Hefner, Youkilis, Wells, Ichiro, Pettite, etc. How are they doing it? How can Pettite be pitching like a Superman at 40+yo? How can castoffs like Wells and Hefner suddenly turn into gold? Plus Youkilis, who the W Sx didn't want for his $11 mil option. I don't know. But I know Pettite has used angel dust in the past. So did Colon when he pitched in NY--and then Oakland. You have to wonder if Steinbrenner didn't discover Ponce de Leon's "fountain of youth" near Tampa at some point. It's still early, of course, and April can be a strange month. I'll say it's strange.
