  1. Molson needs to hire that Miller High Life guy to go into the stadium and replace all those $9.50 Budweisers with some $4 Molsons with some Canadian alcohol content.
  2. I wonder what Chamberlain's numbers look like the second and third time through the order. It seems like he starts giving up a lot of home runs once the 4th and 5th inning rolls around. 1-0 Tigers
  3. I'd say it's the alcohol content in Canadian beer, but the only beer they serve at Blue Jays games is Budweiser (and they cost $9.50). What an embarrassment to Canada...
  4. Eric Cooper. He usually has a small strike zone (starters give up more than 6 runs on average when he's calling a game). But for whatever reason, he's decided to give Halladay virtually every call.
  5. Did that fan reach and and try to hit Bay after he made that catch?
  6. I wouldn't go that far, but this is definitely one of the most one sided home plate umpires that I can ever remember seeing. If he squeezed Lester AND Halladay that would be one thing. If he called everything strikes for Halladay AND Lester, that's alright. But I don't get how he can have such polar opposite strike zones for each pitcher.
  7. I'm gonna murder this umpire... Halladay's hard enough with a normal strike zone.
  8. Well, it's up to our offense now. Halladay's only at 75 pitches, so it will take a lot to get him out of the game.
  9. I'm gonna kill you Tek. Barajas has gotten two hits, both in pitches well inside. So why are you setting up inside on him with 2 strikes and 2 guys in scoring position?
  10. K, one out. If we can get a double play here, that timeout would be huge. Slow runner at the plate. JUST DON'T PITCH BARAJAS INSIDE!!!
  11. Yeah, that's the first break this game that's gone our way. Maybe we can take advantage?
  12. Pedroia really struggled leading off and Francona acknowledged that he was changing his approach. I don't think we'll see Pedroia back in the leadoff spot.
  13. Bring the infield in here or go for the double play?
  14. Was the crowd booing Joba, or were they booing Miguel Cabrera earlier? I couldn't tell.
  15. It seems like our entire team has been slumping the past few weeks. If we hadn't been getting such good pitching, we'd probably be in second place. Like you said yesterday, hitting goes in cycles. Our offense will get hot again, but I wouldn't mind picking up an extra batter before August.
  16. Come on Bay, get a hit before your AVG gets down to .250.
  17. We're down 2-1. Lester's given up a season high 4 walks (but he's been squeezed a little) but he's held the Jays to only 2 hits. He gave up an RBI double to Rod Barajas on a good pitch. But it was an even better piece of hitting.
  18. That's not really Fisk's signature. I wrote that a few weeks ago when I was there
  19. Yeah, Lester's doing just fine. Those 2 RBI he gave up were on a good pitch down and in to Barajas. It's not like he's given up 4 or 5 runs.
  20. I bet it was like the "double" the Yankees just got when the fielder cowered in terror from the ball after they lost it in the sun.
