  1. There once was a man named Don Who analyzed pitchers named Jo(h)n His voice was so smooth My virgin ears it did soothe And gave me a perplexing hard on Now that's a proper Limerick.
  2. That whole time I was thinking, "don't send Lowell, don't send Lowell..." Oh well. That decision by the third base coach was flat out Canadian.
  3. Yes, I believe a conservative political commercial in the U.S. would refer to that as a "Canadian Style" slide. Can we just start using "Canadian" as the opposite of all things "Teahen"? ex. Our offense looked Canadian against Roy Halladay the other day.
  4. ...not that there's anything wrong with that.
  5. f*** you Bay. What kind of slide was that?
  6. Infield single! Woooooohooo! Bay's mashin'
  7. Alright, I'd say it's about time to crack open a cold one. It's been a while with all those day games.
  8. LOL /end thread
  9. I think players rarely qualify for the right to demand a trade, and many of the players who do qualify probably wouldn't have to chance to make the money that Halladay could if he became a free agent. I think the fact that Halladay has the right to demand a trade has got to be a concern for any team that might be giving up years of scouting and development in prospects for what could be 2 months of one pitcher.
  10. Toronto isn't allowing teams to negotiate with Halladay before a deal is made. Otherwise I'd agree.
  11. Lowrie kind of reminds me of Bill Mueller.

  13. You shouldn't throw away money like that.
  14. Does anyone remember a time when a Red Sox announcer didn't say "The Captain" when announcing that Jason Varitek was behind the plate at the beginning of the game?
  15. The Boston LOBsters! 1 runner left stranded...
  16. Crazy Legs Ortiz is a fundamentally sound base runner. He knows you never make the 3rd out at 3rd.
  17. Damn, thought that ball was headed out...
  18. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT WE'VE HAD OUR NORMAL, HEALTHY LINEUP SINCE APRIL 9TH.
  19. ELLSBURY STRUCK OUT, BUT HE DID A GOOD JOB GETTING THE REST OF THE TEAM A GOOD LUCK AT MILLWOOD'S PITCHES.
