More than that, the Russians really came up short in the medal count with only 3 gold and 15 total. As someone who has just a little bit of first hand knowledge of Russian culture, I can assure you that this is a national disgrace for Russia. People will disappear for this.

Any decisions concerning realignment, expansion, dissolution, etc., will have nothing to do with what is best for baseball or it's fans. It will come down to maximizing the short term profits of a few really rich men.

I'm disappointed that the U.S. lost but I am very satisfied that they came out of nowhere to grab a silver. Hats off to team Canada. I'm really happy that the Russians failed to medal!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Admittedly, I'm a fan of the guy. He has shown all the defensive skills to be a very solid MLB SS. If the wrist injury had not happened, who knows what he may have accomplished by now? Unfortunately, the wrist/arm injury has deprived us of having seen any of this. I'm worried about the numbness that he experiences. If there is a nerve that has been permanently damaged he may never be more than what he is now. Any Sox fan should be hoping that he is fully recovered. What happens if he rakes in spring training? Especially if Bill Hall can't demonstrate proficiency at shortstop and or still can't hit? Who is our back up shortstop?

Stick a fork in 'em. This team has no hope of competing for a tittle. Down 18 points in the 4th, the Celts made a "spirited comeback", closing the gap to 6. Too little, too late.
