    Okay Kimmi. Actually this is just common sense. Of course lesser arms can do most of what Kimbrell does. They all just throw baseballs and relievers are relievers because they can't cut it as starters. I am never surprised when a reliever coughs it up. It's who they are.

    I would prefer that Kimbrel start clean innings but last night he was needed in the 8th. He screwed the pooch. That happens with everyone including Mo against the Sox. Maybe his failure last night will haunt him as you have suggested. He is human. But I have to think that part of what makes this guy great is his confidence and his determination. I don't know how he does what he does most of the time without those traits. In any case, you could be correct. I just want to know why you said that.

    Looking at your avatar and thinking of you being so deep under cover in Yankee territory, I am reminded of Mitchell Gant in Firefox. Although your accent is much better than Gant's so I imagine you will be hard to snuff out as an enemy interloper. Just fly the damn plane.

    I think it's cultural and environmental. Those are the determinants of smarts in pro athletes. I am not saying that I disagree with you. I have not really given it much thought. I would be hesitant to make a generalization.

    I agree about what Smart does and I would like to see him back next season. His shooting is not the problem. It's the idea of paying big bucks for him that is not appetizing. J E could explain that much better since he follows all that salary stuff.
