  1. I don't waste the energy and time hating anyone. Even my evil ex-wife. Having said that, I have absolutely no respect for Larry Lucchino (SP).
  2. Excellent post George. As with all aspects of life, being a fan of any team requires management of expectations and of disappointment. As Gringo has pointed out, it is a very long season. This team is still very, very talented and I am reasonably certain that they will win more games than they will loose.
  3. I missed today's game. Too bad. It's ONLY 3 games into the season. The Sox started very slowly last year and then were dominant until the unmentionable happened. It's time for some reason. Not panic.
  4. And the Grand Dame of Talksox has spoken! Heed her words! I mean it.
  5. Lol! Welcome to the Rogue State. Don't be afraid to say you follow an opposing team. Even Yankee fans (a few) are tolerated here.
  6. Hey Fred. Skip the Viagra today. Take a Midol.
  7. Well f*** me sideways. It certainly never occurred to me that this was not legit. I feel shame.
  8. Wtf?.... http://bostondirtdogs.boston.com/2012/04/bobby_v_sports_bars_to_replace.html
  9. Of course Bailey is down with a thumb injury. Lol. I am not surprised by this at all.
  10. And it's good that Cook can spend some time in Pawtucket building up his arm strength and demonstrating worth. I assume he can be assigned to a minor league team? I hope so. He is the kind of depth that UN spoke of a while ago. f***! I can't wait for the season to start!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
  11. My Good Ex-Wife grew up in Brooklyn and lived in East Hampton as a teen and young adult.
  12. I love that you have started this thread! I wanted to start a motor racing thread a couple of years ago but decided based on all the negative comments about NASCAR and motor racing by others on this board that it would not be worth the effort. I used to follow F-1 fairly closely in the '90s through about 2006. Now I have another cable system that does not have F-1 coverage. Which sucks. I miss Shumacher too. It's always fun to watch someone so talented do their thing. Not that it matters, I raced motorcycles for 12 years. Road racing, Observed Trials, Enduros, and a little Motocross. Physical speed is one of my two favorite sensations.
  13. Christ.
