  1. Excellent post. Thank you for saving me the time it would have taken to say the same thing.
  2. I did. Not MVP, but break-out. I predicted it for 2010 but then that linebacker ended his season.
  3. I agree fully. I know that very recently I have stated that I preferred to have Bard in the pen and Aceves in the rotation. I am not a hypocrite. I've just given it more thought ( dangerous to know that I am thinking! ) and have done an about face. I'm of the belief that Aceves is more valuable in the pen because he is versatile. He can go long relief, mid relief, and set-up. And with his experience starting for the Yankees and the Sox, he can make spot starts and even move to the rotation if needed. Bard...... I loved watching him pitch set-up. But he has real upside as a starter. In the 5 spot he will be afforded the opportunity to continue his development as a starter. He is a work -in-progress. If viewed in this light, it all makes more sense. At least to me it does.
  4. In other words, you are a breath of fresh air in these parts!
  5. I'm with these two dudes. I hope they do better though. Baseball is always more enjoyable when teams come out of nowhere and / or overachieve.
  6. Welcome to the Rogue State. I hope you post often and that you enjoy yourself here. There are some really nice people and some very knowledgeable baseball fans too!
  7. I think I said something similar on hear recently.
  8. It would be great to see the Marlins finally grab some of the market in south Florida. There is great potential there.
  9. Interesting observation. I said this three years ago.
  10. Oh no! The ship is sinking!!!!! Heavens to mergetroid Batman. What will we do? Do you guys realize that "Iggy" will be about 40 miles down the road and an hour drive from Fenway? It's not like he'll be playing in South Dakoda! This does not mean he will never play shortstop for the Sox. I really would prefer that he be in Boston for his D if nothing else. I guess I should be grateful that McCoy is only about 8 miles from my home. I think I may go on an Iggy watch.
  11. Excellent post Good Sir. I can understand what you are saying. Everything makes sense. Except we all are forgetting two things. The talent evaluators / Sox management moved him along for real reasons. I suspect they saw that his development would be forestalled in AA but who among us will ever really know? He was injured and the further protracted his development at the plate. Anyone can see he is special with the glove. From what I have READ and from what I HAVE SEEN, this kid works really f***ing hard from everything like learning English to swinging the bat. I too think he deserves and belongs on the 25 man roster and possibly as the starting SS.
  12.:lol::lol: In other words, he's our Joba. Good stuff!
  13. I do three. Although I believe that he will play well all season. I hope so anyway!
  14. How did everyone else do? Did they win?
  15. I don't know that Iggy will "NEVER CLIMB TO 250" in the majors. How do you?
  16. I know you were not slapping me down. Hence the smileys. And the bolded portion of your post is my point, really. Anything can happen in 162 games and I remain optimistic about the Sox. They still have a very formidable roster. Some big question marks exist, true. But as comprised I don't fear that they will finish 20 games out of first. We'll see!
  17. Well I guess that I have been put in my place!;)
  18. She had a big schnoz! But I though she was attractive.
  19. For the record I am not a big tit man. That is to say I am not really into big tits. I'm a quality over quantity guy. When I met Heidi I was pleasantly surprised that she was without affect. She was just a nice person and actually more beautiful in person than on camera which is a little hard to believe.
  20. It's still early in the year and the season has not started. This is no time to panic.
